Colts @ Dolphins Game Day Thread

480 posts in this topic

Hi, Colts Nation!     :)  Our 6-8  Indianapolis Colts  move on from their disappointing home loss last Sunday to the Houston Texans, as they are in South Florida,  to play the 5-9, and last place Miami Dolphins, in  regular season road game there for the first time in more than six seasons.  Colts and Dolphins are playing in their 73rd all-time meeting this afternoon, including two postseason games

Colts were on a four-game regular season winning streak over the Dolphins dating back in games in 2003, 2006. 2009, and 2012, before Miami won the last meeting played at Indianapolis more than two years ago..  Dolphins tight end Charles Clay broke a 20-17 Colts lead with 4:40 remaining in the fourth quarter. And along with Caleb Sturgis's PAT, helped the Miami win 24-20 at the real LOS, back on September 15, 2013.

Dolphins lead the all-time regular season series,  with 47 wins over 25 losses, and Miami has also outscored Indianapolis in the previous 72 games with 1627 points, over the Colts 1230 points.

A mix of mostly cloudy and clear skies at 82 degrees, feels like 87 degrees, is the game forecast inside Sun Life Stadium in Opa-Locka, Florida, for the 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 10% precipitation, 68% humidity, and east/southeastern winds at 17 miles per hour.

Colts are wearing their white helmets, blue jerseys, and white pants with blue trim, while the Dolphins are wearing their white helmets, jerseys, and pants, with aqua and orange trim.

Thanks again for opening up the thread, LOS.  Will be interesting to see how the guys play today.  Need the early season MH to show up today or we will probably see CW before halftime.

I find it funny/ironic/coincidencial that we are having forum problems the same time the coaches for Indy are having blacked out headsets.......

    • Lattimore or Humphrey at #15 or Tre' White in a trade down. Or Sidney Wilson if he drops to the 3rd. Or Jourdan Lewis as a slot CB.
    • A really, really incredible party.   Or Zach Brown for 3/4 years.   Fine with either option.
    • Domestic abuse is learned behavior and not a maturity issue.  That's why abusers keep returning back to it even when million dollar careers are on the line.  It takes the right people in your life to help you stop it.  Remember, he was a known public figure and he was in public with witnesses and yet nothing told him not to do this.  Something in his upbringing should have said to just push her hard or yell at her, but he crosses a social norm line by punching her in the face and didn't care who saw it.  Privately people mess up and are ashamed because they know it's wrong and don't want others to know what the did, but he didn't even care about that.  It's amazing in every aspect and that's why I think he wasn't taught correctly and that he will not quit this easily.
    • No. Just no. Stop it.   Take any of Reddick, Peppers, McKinley or a trade down at that point.   But for the love of all that is holy, stop mocking us Dalvin Cook.
    •   I'd have loved to get another complimentary pass rusher like Jordan WIllis. But there are holes like CB#2, CB#3 and WILL ILB where we don't really have any legitimate starters.   We can grab a pass rusher first round next year.   Appreciate the feedback
