Tom Brady is just furious that there were rules broken and that the penalties for breaking them were not enforced.

I'm all broken up. I'd like to know how many times rules were broken and penalties on the Patriots have not been enforced. I'd be willing to bet they lead the league in that intangible category.

And at the end of the day they are 10-1 and if Gronk didn't tear anything, they won't be fretting too much.

Nah.  The loss to Denver and the inability to get a perfect season is real big blow.  Don't let them fool you into thinking they just care about another SB.

Belichick gave a reporter one of the meanest death glares I've ever seen.  It was like he was staring right at the reporter's soul and freezing it with each passing second.

I know huh.  Wicked stare :)

One of his famous type answers is "what do you think"  He said that in this PC when a reporter asked something stupid.

I wish our team played with that passion sometimes. Belicheck is always salty win or lose...and if you ask him dumb questions about some horrible officiating or players taking out his best player then sure he is going sound glum. Nothing new. It does go to show though that next player up can only go so far...eventually it will bite you like on that punt return.

Tom on the other hand didn't let the fact that he was playing with a bunch of practice squad scrubs deter him or hold his teammates any less accountable. I loved the fire he played with. He wasn't backing down and made some incredible plays. They should have won that game...they gave it away on top of having a Colorado avalanche of bad calls go against them. Let's put it this way...took the best defense in the AFC on the road playing down his best 3 offensive weapons and several OL and defensive stars along with a host of terrible calls to finally beat this team. Going to be a tough out in January if they get back healthy by then. That last minute drive was just clutch by Tom....and he honestly had likely a game winning first down the drive before when the refs took it away with the pass interference call. I will say...that is the very reason you want to play them at home in the playoffs....those calls and breaks go the other way there. I still think they will have HFA but the AFCs best opportunity to beat them will be to force them on the road.

Brady is even angrier than before now so maybe the Broncos did the rest of us no favors! Gronk to miss just one game apparently. I think the loss will help them focus without the need to think about "perfection". I wouldn't be surprised to see Carolina freeze at some point in the next couple of games.

I dunno, phantom whistles last week and some truly questionable calls last night, maybe he has a point. It was like watching Joey Crawford ref a Pacers game at times!

What are these questionable calls? People immediately went to blaming the refs, but I'm not sure what calls are even being complained about.

Given what you have shared here in the past, I cannot believe you would approve of Brady berating refs. While the Pats may have gotten some questionable calls against them, Brady was not flagged for behavior that would have drawn a flag had it been almost any other QB.

I believe every team has been a victim of bad calls by the refs, not only the Pats.

Both teams have injury issues. And the calls the refs made were not as horrible as it is made. Brady does a great job crying and whining to make it look like one. Coincidentally, he does this a lot when they are losing.

Denver made more plays.

The stupidity that counts as media these days.  "What does it feel like to lose Gronk?".....it feels like you need to get a job you're better at.

Skip Bayless went on his usual *ic diatribe blaming the refs. He said the real score was Refs 30 Patriots 24. What a clown.

Skip is a clown. He goes out of his way to bash Andrew and he loves Tom and the Patriots. I took so much satisfaction watching him squirm this morning on 1st Take. He almost looked like Belichick when BB was talking in his Post Game Conference.

Yeah but they still have a lot of other injuries. Losing Edleman is still a huge blow. Also if they lose 1 more game and Denver runs the table, Denver will get HFA now. Pats could still lose at NY Jets which is very possible. Playing at Miami wont be easy either as that is a huge rivalry. Miami has played them well at times in Miami in the past.

90% of Pats fans wanted the perfect season I agree. I put that % on it because of all the comments I have read on ESPN Boards. Almost all wanted 19-0 and have called every game Tom's revenge tour. So glad they at least lost 1. That loss yesterday has most of their fans in depression mode. Denver's Defense is no joke. They will smack teams around, as Colts fans we witnessed it first hand too but at least we beat them.

It must have been. The Patriots never commit actual penalties. Must have been another Goodell witch hunt.

The "Power of the Dark Side" has been rumored to be in a large, sweltering, red-burning cauldron underneath Gillette where all the shady magic potions reside. I told Roger I would never reveal it's location no matter how many witch hunts surround that facility.

I must have messed up. Three Men in Black visited me today.

    • Then begs the question. Do u want to say draft a MJH at 4 and turn around in 4 years or would u say draft Turner and pay him 30mill in 4 years? All day every day for the franchise rush end. I am not a big believer in 30 mill for a wr. Reid is a fantastic coach and look what he did with Hill.
    • I literally just posted that clip, it's where the conversation about QBs started.
    • Funny you brought this up.  I just listened to an interview Ballard did today with Rich Eisen.  He asked him if he has given any thought on how many quarterbacks will be taken before our pick and how many does he think.  He said sure we go through those evaluations.  It helps us with for planning purposes.  He asked him how many.  4 or 5 or 6?   He laughed out loud at 6.  He said Rich if it’s 6 we will be so excited.  Let’s hope so.  He also said the draft board is not yet set.  Won’t be until the night before the draft.  He also said he has had multiple conversations with other GM’s concerning the draft.  Preparing themselves for opportunities that could take place.  And they will continue up until the draft starts.  He said trade conversations won’t really materialize until you are within three picks of any trade.  Giving you time to finalize it.  Interesting interview.  Oh he pretty much ruled out moving up for Harrison.   Going up into the top of the draft would be very costly for him he said.  Thinks he’s a great talent but he thinks he’s pretty much out of our reach.
    • I personally wouldn’t touch Williams with a 10 foot pole. He seems like a distraction and cancerous. He may be Uber talented but I don’t feel like he is a winner, and don’t feel like his heart is in it. I think he gets the bag and just sets it on cruise control. There is absolutely nothing to base this off of aside from my gut feeling.  Maye Daniels  Penix Nix McCarthy   Maye is your prototype passer and I think his deficiencies are easily fixed with good coaching.   Daniels seems the most limited to me, proficient and will be very dependent on where he goes.    Will always have a soft spot for Penix, he throws such a pretty deep ball. His 40 time should have opened some eyes.   Nix is probably the safest pick IMO. I think he’s got the tools to fit nearly any offense. Has the athleticism, arm talent and I think he’s got the between the ears to excel in most offenses.   I see the appeal with McCarthy, he was as unselfish as they come allowing the run game to shine instead of checking to pass plays. I think his ceiling is a solid game manager.
    • I'd imagine he's going bald. Most men his age usually are when they start sporting the caps 24/7.
