NFL Expansion : Worldwide or Not

If Europe and London have their own 32 team league than yes I would support it. Keep our teams and players over here. They can have their own NFL Commissioner and teams.  It would be awesome to see the ultimate game USA Superbowl Champion Vs London & Europe Superbowl Champion. It would be a game to decide who would be the World Champs.

I think it is more important to improve accessibility to the NFL in non usa countries.

Over here we can now through our pay tv watch red zone every week plus we get TNF SNF and MNF games live.

They should look at doing that all over the world so everyone can enjoy the product before they worry about having different  teams in different countries.

There may be worldwide expansion, but it won't be part of one league.  For example, they may create an Asian league or try Europe again, but I don't think they'd force an NFL team to play an Asian team.  There would be too many factors to consider.  But they might create their own mini leagues all over

Makes no sense to me.

It will end up hurting the league.

Too many variables .

American football will never win against soccer. We americans just dont get it. Like hockey in Canada. Sure Wembly is filled for a game or two a year, but the honeymoon will wear off....: LIKE THE LAST TIME they tried it.

Here's how I see it. Expansion is gonna happen. L.A. is a given from what city? Could be a couple of them. They've talked about St. Louis, Oakland, Jacksonville, San Diego. Then, where does the NFL go? Anyone's guess. If another franchise is created, they'll need a counterbalance team to equalize the Conferences. To the point of Worldwide expansion, London seems inevitable. Canada, Mexico, would in all likelihood, follow.

The directive of the NFL from everything I could get my hands on seems to be headed toward a WNFL. The Worldwide National Football League. Oxymoron? Seems that way. Just as some have already touched on, it's all about the bucks. Thus creating, new, wanted, supportive markets. Is that a bad thing? Depends on your point of view.

Expansion to Europe in the past was a flop. Many reasons surrounding that. In 7-10 years, the NFL will look completely different IMO. By 2022, the injection of London seems to get launched into reality. After that, it just stands to reason that other countries, cities, will follow suit. If the question is all about money & expanding marketability, this will most certainly happen. The remaining questions of splintered leagues under the guise of the NFL will be proposed. That's a big stipulation in my eyes. It's also a problem. Traveling, scheduling, byes, & the productivity of teams is also on the table.

A lot of kinks in the armor to get hammered out. If the NFL is to expand on a Worldwide venue, it'll have to be at a loss of longtime loyalty to the United States cities & fans. Some will drop off. Most will promote & engage it. I for one, will have to accept it and come to love it.

That's how much I love professional football. Right now, I have hesitations. I like the idea of expansion. And, into other countries. I sincerely hope and wish they do this thing right when the time comes. We all do.

If you have 8 four team divisions....you could have eight 5-team divisions..and you can head towards that two at a time.

...Of course there will be expansion...no business ever says...No, we have enough profit. We don't need any more success!!>>

Forget London and its time travel and time zone problems problems for a second.

I'm surprised there isn't a team in Hawaii already and there could be two in Mexico, natural rivals of the Texas teams.

I would think Las Vegas will eventually have a team...as might Oklahoma City and San Antonio, already NBA cities

There could easily be a second team in Chicago... and Omaha is a decent TV market in football country..

Folks said Memphis was not a pro football market and would never support a team..

In the early days of the NFL...folks insisted that Boston was not a football market

...with ratings and interest at an all-time high ...what business would say, no, we don't want any more money?.
