Hi, Colts Nation!   :)  Our  4-5 and AFC South division leading Indianapolis Colts are coming from a scheduled and well-deserved and timed bye week from the long 2015 NFL regular season, and will try to maintain their lead in the AFC South Division as they visit the Atlanta Falcons to play a regular season game there for the first time in 2007.

Rod Chudzinski is in his second game as the Colts offensive coordinator since relieving Pep Hamilton, and will also try to help and apply the West Coast Offense in  Matt Hasselbeck's third start as the Colt's starting QB.

Andrew Luck did travel to be involved with the team in Atlanta, but is projected to return to game action by December 27, as he is on active rehabilitation from his lacerated kidney and his torn abdominal muscle.

Colts will try to perform better on the field against the Falcons, than their last meeting played at LOS.  Jerraud Powers 6-yard interception return, and  Adam Vinitieri's PAT, was the only Colt's scoring for their 31-7 loss to Atlanta back on November 6, 2011.  Falcons QB Matt Ryan outplayed our Colts by throwing 3 touchdown passes, 1-yard to Tony Gonzalez, and two long TD's from 50 yards, and 80 yards to Julio Jones. Michael Turner also added a 1-yard TD run for Atlanta, and Matt Bryant kicked a 20-yard FG in the fourth quarter, along with his four PAT's.

Indianapolis however, defeated Atlanta in their last visit to the Georgia Dome back on November 22, 2007. Colts QB Peyton Manning threw three touchdown passes, 23-yards to WR Reggie Wayne, 8-yards to WR Dallas Clark,  and 5-yards to TE Ben Utecht. Joseph Addai also added a 4-yard rushing TD, and Adam Vinatieri added his 24-yard field goal, along with his four PAT's to secre their 31-13 win, back on November 22, 2007.

Indianapolis leads the all-time regular season series over Atlanta, with their record of 13 wins and 2 losses after 15 meetings. Colts/Falcons rivalry started  then Baltimore Colts defeated the Atlanta Falcons 19-7 in both teams first-ever regular season meeting in the Falcons inaugural season in the NFL. Colts also outscored the Falcons 408 points to 230 points after the 15 previous meetings.

Colts also won the first 10 games of the series over the Falcons before Atlanta finally won their first game in Indianapolis in 1998.  Falcons QB Chris Chandler threw a 2-yard TD pass to Terrance Mathis to break up a 21-21 tie in the third quarter, and it held as the only score in the second half, as the 11-2 Falcons edged the 2-11 Colts  in the Hoosier Dome back on December 6, 1998.

Greg Gumbel, and former NFL QB Trent Green are announcing the live TV game commentary for the NFL On CBS's early regional single header game, televised regionally, and locally on WTTV CBS Channel 4, live on HD.

Bob Lamey, our 'Voice Of The Colts,' and former Colts, N.Y. Giants, and Wisconsin Badger QB Jim Sorgi, also with sideline/field reporter and interviewer Matt Taylorare also announcing the live radio game play-by-play and analysis, simulcast on flagship stations  WFNI ESPN SportsRadio 1070AM, and WLHK Hank 97.1FM, and the Colts/Vectren Radio Network.

Visiting Colts are wearing their white helmets, jerseys, and pants, while the host Falcons are wearing their black helmets, red jerseys, and white pants.

Although the game is being played comfortably indoors in the Georgia Dome, Sunny and clear skies at 46 degrees, feels like 39 degrees, is the game forecast outside the stadium area in Downtown Atlanta, along with 0% precipitation, 48% humidity, and northwestern winds at 15 miles per hour, for the 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff.

    • I'm going to respectfully disagree here. I think, regardless of what the fans might think, their lack of FAs and re-signing all our own means the Colts believe this team is truly capable of making waves in 2024, being only 1 play away from a playoff birth/division title.    I think they believe that they are a couple pieces away but clearly need a top skill position wideout to pair with Pittman and Downs. Every pick after that is fillers, depth, and/or less important needs in their minds.    You could wind up being correct but I'm sticking with my trade up scenario where the only way I'm wrong is that we find out later, the Colts could not find a trade partner or that the trade partners really wanted to much in compensation.   I'm sticking with Colts trade to with Chargers and take Nabers at pick 5.
    • Latest update not encouraging? Where's that at? Wasn't in that article.     Everything I have seen, has shown some athleticism has already started to come back.     I posted a couple rehab videos somewhere a month ago or so.   He is already dunking and looked very quick on take off and on his straight line running.   Can't remember if there was a change of direction in the the video but I think there was that as well.     Saying that, I think we still bring in a CB, but everything I have seen has been encouraging in regards to rehab.
    • Steelers picking at No.20 probably want him to get past Bengals and Jaguars so that they can draft Adonai Mitchell, so could be an article blessed by the organization too
    • I think we stay at 15, hope Bowers is there but dont think he will be. With latest update not encouraging that Flowers will be ready seems like Corner more likely to be taken over WR.  First round corner paired with Brents with Jones first corner off the bench should yield better results then last season.   ttps://www.aol.com/cb-dallis-flowers-rehabbing-achilles-084056300.htm
    • I think the draft falls this way:   1) Bears: Caleb 2) Commanders: Daniels 3) Vikings (trade with Pats) Maye 4) Cardinals: MHJ 5) Colts (trade with Chargers) Nabers   Reason for my top 5 is that I think the Patriots really like McCarthy, coupled with the Brady/McCarthy Michigan thing plus the Pats need more player help, it makes sense for the Pats to trade back to 11 but still be in front of the Raiders and Broncos to get their QB   Colts trade up reason: I think the Chargers need O-line help as well as other players like WR, however I believe the Chargers can still get a top LT at 15 and WR late in round one or if they trade back into round one which I believe they will attempt to do in this scenario. Plus, the Harbough Indy connection makes this trade likely.   Even if the Commanders take Maye at 2, I still think the Vikings trade up and then grab Daniels. Pats take McCarthy.   I think this is the year the Colts finally will mortgage a little bit of the future for the wideout. I'm going to stick with this. I hope my gut is correct here, we'll see.
