They fired him yesterday, rightfully so.

I'm calling it now. Chip Kelly to USC

I second that.  If the eagles let him go or he decides that he's not really cut out for this NFL thing this is what USC will be throwing money his way.

Honest question.. why do you believe that?

Multiple reasons.  First of which, aside from the kids, he hated college.  He hated recruiting.  He REALLY hated catering to boosters (in fact, refused to).

He is the type that wants to win at the highest level.  All he cares about is football.  No family, very few friends, all he wants is to be successful at the highest level in football.

He's the most "northeast guy" I've seen.  I can't see him ever coming back to the west coast, especially not for a college job.

And most of all - HE IS NOT GETTING FIRED!  He took over a 4 win team, won 10 games in his first 2 years, decided it wasn't good enough and completely rebuilt the team.  6 games in, he's leading the division after a complete rebuild.

There is nothing logical about him going to USC other than the fact that he was successful in college before moving on to the NFL.

I know you're an Oregon guy and that's why I asked... I didn't have any idea about any of that, but it makes sense..

No problem.  The only school I think there is any chance he would even consider is Penn St because of location, but would be absolutely shocked if he did that as well.

His first year he came to booster dinners but you could tell he didn't want to be there.  After that he just refused to go at all which doesn't work at most schools, regardless of success.  Most boosters think they are owed access and insight to the program, which he isn't willing to give.
