Joe Reitz vs JJ Watt should be interesting

:sigh:

Too much hype into JJ Watt

Where was he in the 42-0 thrashing last week they took?

Vince Wilfork & Clowney dead? Where were they?

This is the Texans people, who are the Texans? No one respects them except their fans.

Injury prone RB in Foster, a QB who'd lose his job to 60% of this forum, & a defense that's a disgrace to the NFL

Some of you really are giving them too much credit & Watt too much hype when he hasn't been dominant this year.

But hey, to each their own.

Wrong, sir.  Watt has been dominating the TV Commercial medium.

You don't know what you're talking about. Not that that surprises anyone.

4 sacks through 4 games..... 2 in one game.... none against the Buccaneers. THE BUCCANEERS??!!!

So you're telling me they're offensive line is better than ours? That Winston is better than Luck & Hasselbeck?

It's you who doesn't know what they're talking about. Stop letting the media brain wash you, Watt is human just like every other NFL player. He's not single handily gonna beat the Colts. And with the stats he's posted this far..... I'm confident he'll be a non factor tonight

OMG!!! NO WAY! He's only on pace for 16 sacks.

And as if sacks tell the whole story. He had 11 sacks in 2013 and was just as dominant as ever. Get a clue.

16 compared to 20 from last year..... yes, that's what's called a drop off

And they do tell the whole story especially when you play 2 awful offenses in Carolina & Tampa Bay & you only come out with 1 sack on the QB

But hey, if you wanna believe we're in worse shape than those 2.... do what you have to do

To each their own, I don't condemn, I don't condone

Watt hasn't had much impact on the previous games against the Colts so I can't imagine he will have much more of an impact tonight....

Only thing I am concerned about it Hasselbeck's lack of mobility... That kinda helps Luck get out of Watt's path from time to time...

Will be interesting to watch for sure.

Good god. As I said, not a surprise.

He won the DPOY in 2012 and 2014 and should have won it in 2013. He's improved every year on the previous, and yet you're going to solely look at his 0 sacks vs the Bucs (forget that he hit the QB 3 times) and call him overrated or claim he's regressing. Wow. That's just classic you.

In two game against us last season, he had four sacks, including a strip sack, recovered it, and then ran it into the end zone. Thats a pretty big impact if you ask me..................

Watt will probably get 3 sacks and dominate this game. The Texans will try hard as a whole and we will be slaughtered. Bad enough when we get 0 effort from the team (besides the D-Line), now Luck isn't playing another game. I don't trust Hasselback at all against a competent team. At least Clowney is no threat to us, but It's not going to matter. Really hard to have any faith at this point.

Are you insinuating that Houston is competent?

You have to be kidding yourself if you don't see Watt as a threat. You have to remember he is putting up these stats while also being double and triple teamed at times. Which you are failing to realize leaves other Texan players free. You think being on pace 16 sacks as a 3-4 down lineman is not an impressive accomplishment? You might want to think again. 20 sacks as a 3-4 down lineman was basically unheard of before Watt. The offenses you mentioned yes they may be stagnant, but did you watch the games to see how they handled Watt? Here is the answer, you will see what Watt does tonight against our O-Line and how we account for a DOMINANT D-Lineman. I have to think you will be singing a different song after the game tonight.

But it is proven. A star D lineman cannot cover for a pathetic QB. Houston will be lucky to win 4 games all year. They are really bad. A loss tonite would be one of the worst losses I can remember for awhile. Matt Hasselbeck should be good enough for victory.

Never said he was going to cover for a pathetic QB as he won't. The bad QB play is what is plaguing Houston. However, if you write Watt off as a non-threat that we can easily handle is foolish as well. If you think the play of our O-Line thus far is good enough to completely contain Watt then I think you are mistaking is what I am getting at. I think we are good enough to get a win against Houston tonight with either Luck or Hasselbeck (given he plays like he did vs. Jags).

I think Watt is a great player.

But it's more than Just a bad QB. They are not good at LB, or in coverage. Actually they are a team that has regressed terribly. The Colt are a better team and need to show it today.

More competent than us yes. I don't trust Hasselback against a good defense. and I don't trust this team with all the injuries. We've lucked into two 3 point wins against the Titans and Jags (one with Luck). What makes you think we have a chance against a decent team like the Texans without Luck?

Agreed on your analysis of the Texans problems. The only bad thing is we have regressed as well, but I do agree I think we are the better team and need to show it.

They've been bad without Arian Foster. He's back to full health now against us. We were bad when we had Luck playing. I think we've been the ones regressing. Our defense has been bad, offense bad. Little effort all around. I don't even like the Texans, but at least they have an excuse.

We may have more talent (without Luck, it's a draw), but this team literally has no heart. Pep doesn't know what he's doing, Pagano just doesn't care anymore, and the players are following the coach's example. Very few people seem to care on this Colts team anymore.

I agree with most of this especially Pep's incompetence except for Pagano not caring. He may not care much for Grigson and co., but I don't think you can question how much he cares about the players on the team. I truly think that the players do play for Pagano, and I think it shows how much Pagano cares for his players by how much the players care about him.
