Hi, Colts Nation! :) Our 2-2, and AFC South Division leading Indianapolis Colts are back in the playing field in more than four days, and are also Southwest in the Lone Star State to play the Houston Texans for Thursday Night Football coverage. Colts are playing their third straight AFC South opponent in as many games, and their third AFC South opponent in 12 days. A Colts win tonight at Houston, would result both in a 16-game winning streak over AFC South opponents, and also a one game lead in the division.

Veteran and Colts backup Matt Hasselback did a splendid job stepping up at QB for Andrew Luck last Sunday, completing 30 of his 47 passes for 282 yards, and his 2-yard TD pass to TE Coby Fleener in the second quarter. But Hasselback is probable tonight with his illless, and he did not practice on Tuesday, while Luck is also recovering from his shoulder injury, both players in gametime decision. Colts re-signed Josh Johnson as insurance at QB, for tonight's contest at QB.

Colts also have an amazing 15-0 winning record entering tonight over AFC South opponents, and are also 2-0 in 2015, after losing their first two games over the Bills and New York Jets. Indianapolis last AFC South divisional loss occurred also at Houston almost three years ago, when the Texans defeated our Colts at then Reliant Stadium by the score of 29-17, back on December 16, 2012.

Both the Colts and the Texans lead off Week 5 of the 2015 NFL schedule, and the Colts are playing their second internationally televised game in 11 nights. Both the Colts and the Texans also have adjusted, and prepared, from their short practice week, to accommodate the joint coverage of Thursday Night Football for both The NFL On CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System) Sports, and The NFL Network.

Colts were able to win their last game on October 4, when the Colt's Adam Vinatieri's kicked the game winner with his 27-yard field goal in 3 1/2 minuites into overtime. But Indianapolis are facing a Houston team that also lost 48-21 on threroad last Sunday to the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome.

Indianapolis by far has the best records with both an opponent, the Houston Texans, and Thursday Night Football. Colts currently have a 6-0 record on The NFL Network's and CBS Sports Thursday Night Football entering tonight, beginning with their 31-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome, back on November 22, 2007.

Indianapolis Colts further, also has an amazing 11-1 record overall on Thursday Night Games played since 1996, thanks and my credit to registered user CR91 here on the Colts Forum. Colts streak included an 37-10 home victory played at the RCA Dome played on December 5, 1996. Colts have not lost on a prime time Thursday Night game during the regular season, to the New England Patriots 24-27 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, to start the NFL regular season back on September 9, 2004.

Colts started another Thursday Night winning streak later that same season, defeating the Detroit Lions at 41-9 Ford Field, on Thanksgiving Day on November 25, 2004. Colts have since bring an active 10-game prime time winning streak on Thursday Night Football heading into tonight's matchup with the Texans. Seven of the ten games were played on the road, the remaining three were played at Indianapolis, Eagles at the RCA Dome, and the Saints and Texans at LOS.

Colts entering tonight also leads the all-time regular season series over the Texans after 27 games with 22 wins, and 4 losses, those losses occurring all at Houston. Colts also have a current five-game regular season losing streak over the Texans, and outscoring those previous five games 130 points to the Texans 81. Colts four losses occurred during the 2006, 2010, 2011, and 2012 NFL regular seasons, and all played at Houston.

Colts Vs. Texans rivalry began in Houston's first year as an active franchise in the NFL back in 2002 beating Los Angeles as the 32nd franchise to enter the NFL with then the offer and presentation to league owners to build their then-Reliant Stadium to secure the Texans for their city of Houston. Indianapolis won 22-3 in their first game over the Texans, at Reliant Stadium in Houston back on November 22, 2002. Colts them went on to win the first 9 regular season games over Houston, to give Indianapolis the lead 9-0 in the all-time regular season seriesthrough the 2006 NFLseason.

Both the Indianapolis and Houston are meeting again for the second consecutive season in a regular season game at Houston, for Thursday Night Football. Colts defeated the Texans at New Radiant Energy (NRG) Stadium 33-28 exactly one year to the day ago, and eight weeks later completed the sweep in Indianapolis, winning 17-10 back December 14, 2014. Andrew Luck's two touchdown passes in the second quarter, a 26-yarder to Hakeem Nicks, and his 3-yard TD to Dwayne Allen was the difference in that victory.

Jim Nantz and former New York football Giants QB Phil Simms are announcing the live TV game commentary, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Tracy Wolfson, televised and simucasted internationally on both CBS Sports and The NFL Network, includinf WTTV CBS Channel 4, live on HD.

Bob Lamey, our 'Voice Of The Colts,' and former Colts QB Jim Sorgi, are also announcing the live radio game play-by-play and analysis, also simulcasted on Colts flagship stations WFNI ESPN SportsRadio 1070AM, and WHNK Hank Country 97.1FM, and the Colts/Vectren Radio Network.

Ian Eagle and former Bears defensive end Tim Ryan, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Scott Graham, are also announcing the international syndicated radio coverage on Westwood One, also heard online and mobile devices, and locally on WIBC 93.1FM, and WGCL News Talk 1370AM in Bloomington, IN.

NRG (New Radiancy Group) Stadium's roof may likely be closed for tonight's 8:25PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, to keep both teams, and the fans inside dry, and keep the crowd noise inside during tonight's game. Mostly cloudy skies at 81 degrees, feels like 84 degrees, is the game forecast outside the stadium area around Houston, along with 0% humidity, 61% precipitation, and very mild southeastern winds at 6 miles per hour.

Visiting Colts are wearing the traditional white helmets, jerseys, and pants on the playing field, while the host Texans are wearing their dark navy blue helmets and jerseys, and white pants.

Both the Colts and Texans players, along with their coaching and support staffs, and the rest of the NFL teams, may continue to participate for the NFL's 'A Crucial Catch' campaign, to both promote and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October, by wearing authentic pink authentic NFL apparel and equipment tonight, both on the playing field, and in their sidelines.

NO injuries, Stay Colts Strong, proceed to win your third game of the season in front of another internanational viewing audience, along with a sellout crowd in Houston, and GO COLTS!!!!! :coltslogo:

Lets keep our heads high boys! Confidence is key!

Aah who am I kidding. Predictions

Colts: Hasselbeck gets sacked 5 times

Colts: Andre craps the bed again

Colts: The defense starts out fine, but gets gassed by the fourth quarter

Texans: Mallet has a career game

Texans: Foster bounces back

Texans: Watt recks that O line

It'll be close till the fourth when the floodgates open up. Texans take it 38-13

*NOTE* We're undefeated when I predict we lose. So if we win, YOU'RE WELCOME

With Luck out again this defense is gonna have to step up and play big. Stopping the run will be the top priority, next will be trying to create turnovers with Mallet at QB. Offensively, we need to be able to run the ball, and try to make some big plays early to gain momentum. If we start out slow and look flat, this will be a long game.

In the game last week, I got tired of them reminding us how old Hasselbeck is.  Then they talked about it all week on TV.  Can't just say his name, NO, they have to say '40 year old Hasselbeck'

They're already doing it again in pregame!!!!  What the heck!

I think I may have to watch this game with the sound muted.
