Donald Brown cut. Should we go after him? (Merge)

Recommended Posts

I'm REALLY surprised at how he was treated. It seemed he was the ONLY rb we had that could stay healthy. He made plays when NONE, i repeat NONE of our other backs did squat. Some here seem to act like he ran behind a better OL than our other RBs. He wasn't elite, but for quite a while he WAS the best we had, all things considrred. The guy got a bit of a raw deal here.

That said, i'm not sure what he could offer now but i have to laugh at those who still show almost a hatred of him.

Its quite obvious to me that those people either didn't watch the games, or should really keep quiet because they are embarrasing themselves.

Fair-weather fans....... I just don't understand it. •shrug•. +eye-roll*

Is that clear enuff?

Not liking Donald Brown makes someone a fair-weather fan?

Ahh, no. . The two are seperate . It is comical tho how some seem to forget how bad this team was before we were fortunate enuff to get a certain 2 QBs. (Maybe 3 with harbaugh).

So many are quick to jump ship. Probably the same ones who jumped on the "wagon" during the great Manning days. "Fair weather" type fans typically aren't as invested or knowlegeable about the facts about this team. Many don't even watch the games, they just wanna wear the "colors" of a winner.

I'm in pa, and i was aware of 1 other Colt fan in my area up until the early 2000s. In fact we ran into each other in Pittsburg at the 1995 "hail mary" playoff game. EVERYONE in my area knew me as the "Colts guy". After Manning joined, colts hats n shirts were suddenly showing up everywhere.

Just sayin.

On the Brown topic, history shows Brown wasn't nearly as bad as some here want to suggest. I'm just tired of people sayin player x stinks without really looking at the facts and circumstances related that add to this said lower production. Some just need to watch the games. I typically watch every game at least 3 times and still can't watch every player on every play. You just can't "see" the game in one viewing.

The fans that go overboard in ripping Andrew are probably the same fans that have been fans only since Peyton joined the team (younger generation). If they had to sit through the likes of Mike Pagel, Art Schlichter, Jack Tradeau, Gary Hogeboom, and Jeff George most of the people that rip Andrew would tone it down. Andrew has had 3 straight 11 win seasons and a team led record of 37-20. Ive been a fan since 1984 and let me tell you those days were no fan watching the above QB's. We stunk other than 1 season being 1987 in which we won the Division but that mainly was due to us acquiring Eric Dickerson. Dickerson was a 1 man wrecking crew back then. Jim Harbaugh was Great for 1 season, that was 1995 and it was a memorable Final 4 run but other than that we were pretty bad until Peyton's 2nd season here.
