It'll actually help more coming from the other way around. When our corners are finally healthy and a 5th stringer isn't starting, coverages will be better and the pash rush will get more opportunities

Patriots still find ways to adapt and win though. Their defense might not be as good. But they'll just score more points. They overcome thier weaknesses.

Anything can happen with so much of the season to go, obviously, so I would say it's certainly still in sight. As I see it, it will essentially still be a three team race in the AFC; New England, Denver and Indy. I would possibly add Pittsburgh to that as well. I think that for the Colts to get through the AFC field, they need a bye at the very least. The Colts would probably knock out the Bengals, Ravens or Dolphins in the Wild Card round but I don't think this team is equipped (at least not yet) to go on the road to Denver and/or New England and win in January.

Not a chance this year. I believe other than playing 2 great defenses to start the year,but this friction between coach and management is gotta b a distraction cuz this team is not at all in sync. If they lose to Tennessee looking like crap then it will be a long long year! Should of got o-line help within reason.

I think some teams in the AFC have caught up with/surpassed us this season. They're may be 5 or 6 teams that are simply better teams.

Bengals..Steelers..Broncos..Bills and of course the Pats..am I right..I know we lost to the Jets but believe we could beat them next time if they somehow make the playoffs...but think we would possibly lose to Chiefs and Dolphins too if they make it...what do ya think

I still say it's too early to tell whether we can or not. When we were 0-2 last season everyone was writing us off and we ended up in the AFCC. Luck and the team has been 1-2 every season since he's been in the league and it ended up 11-5. I will answer this question after that Patriots game. + I need to see how healthy Andrew is as well.

In an earlier Post I did answer "Yes we can" but that is before Andrew came down with this injury. Need to make sure he can play and see how he looks up through the Patriots game. I keep saying I think he will be fine but cant be 100% sure because obviously I am not the doctor that examined him.

Although I probably wouldn't bet on it either. I think our Oline and line backing corps are too weak to go up against the better teams in the conference (Pats, Pitt, Denver).

We have gotten off to a rough start on Offense. Luck will turn it around. We have the weapons Does anyone think Luck has forgotten how to play the game?

If it was the D struggling I'd be more concerned. The D has looked improved up front. We still have good players to work in like Irving and Moore. Mathis will get better the more he plays. We will get Toler back. Lowery and Langford are good additions. Cole will get going. The D is going to be pretty good this year.

We will be 3-2 going into the Patriots game. When we win that game come tell me how lousy we are.

We are still one of the best teams in the league. It's week 4 and people are ready to give up on the season.

Yeah I get that, but the deficiency is more in coverage right now. When half of your cornerbacks are injured, pass rush has to be unbelievable to make up for it

Quite correct, akcolt. Oh yeah, Carolina Panthers 2014 : 7-8-1 Division Winners. Playoffs are a different animal as we all know. Anything can happen with the mojo of one team. AFC South? The very same record could occur or worse to any team and still catapult them to the promised land. The old term, "any given Sunday" is never completely out of the realm of possible.

Inpersonally think we should make the playoffs due to division. But Pitt, NE, CINN would clean our clocks, at least the way we are playing now. I just don't think we can fix enough this year to get back to AFC championship. We just dont have enuff talent on the OL.

IF, and its a big if, we can "fix" the OL, get our CBs back on the field, and Andrew isn't on the bench injured, we MIGHT Have a chance. However, i would suggest no one bets anything they can't afford to lose.

I am a glass half- full kind of guy, however, my analytical, rational, engineer brain tells me a big fat no. Theres even a chance we dont win the division.

Things must change, and soon, for us to even have an outside chance.

The NE game will speak volumes. To a lesser degree, so will the Pitt and Denver games. I'm afraid it will be ugly, mainly the NE game, as much as it pains me to say.
