How hard is it to not chose your favorite Fantasy player?

The past 2-3 years I had a hard time not chosing Andrew Luck in the top pick.

This year, i decided i was going to get a RB first. I got the second pick and picked up Marshawn Lynch. Then on the next round i got really lucky and had a choice between Aaron Rodgers and Luck. Chose Luck. So I got over my hump and still got my favorite player.

But this year i decided to pass off on other Colts players because it becomes a pain in the butt when you have too many players on one team and you go into bye. So i mixed it up with Marshawn, Luck, Damarius Thomas, Amari Cooper , Gostowski, Ravens D and so on...lol.

I only have one rule when picking my Fantasy team.

Absolutely, under No circumstance do I pick any Pats.   Cannot put myself in a position to have to root for them   :P

I have Andrew as my QB this year, and T.Y.   they're my only Colts players.

gotta agree but you cant pass on Gronk. lol. I did get Brady last year because there was no better but Romo possibly.

But then again, any Patriots players are not even worth chosing because:

1. Brady tends to run the ball alot and usually when he gets to the endzone, he gives it to this runningback. He will probably average 1 TD per game....

2. Even with the runningbacks, Brady gives every single runningback an equal share in the redzone. They dont keep 1 player in the redzone everytime.

3. Brady spreads the ball to all his WR. He has no favorite like Luck with TY.

I play for money, so I'm willing to pick anyone. I got Forte and Gronk with my 1st two picks, and Hilton and Alfred Morris in rounds 3 and 4. I'm all over the place and rooting for my team. I will root for the Colts obviously, but I will also root for Gronk to score if the Pats are about to score a td. That's how fantasy works.

Yeah, I'm clear on how Fantasy FB works.  Been playing for 15 years now.

Still Refuse to pick any Pats....     Just.Can't.Do.it.

That's a nice combo of Luck and Hilton, it should work out well (hopefully in all cases for us fans). I think you have to throw away fan allegiances in fantasy or you pass up possibilities of really good players. I do respect you though for sticking to your guns and not rooting for the dark side.

I honestly don't mind the bye week and having numerous players on the same bye. Only if they are solid fantasy performers. I will sacrifice one week knowing in can win 2 more than in would if I picked up a lesser player because if his bye.

I took Luck #1 overall this year when in last year's I've taken RB's like they told me too.

I'm basing this off 2 things.  Luck is the top QB in fantasy and this league has 6 points per passing TD.  So that ups the value of QB's.

Also the top RB's have a really high bust rate in comparison to QB's.

So we'll see if this pays off.
