Okay I'm starting to like  Grigs again. If Moore is 100% healthy, than this is really a STEAL!!! This guy blew up Jamaal Charles. Moore can get to the QB but he is the best at stopping the run. Oh Boy I can't wait until we face the Patriots again. There will be no "Running down our Throats" this time around.

I like this trade.

For a 6th round pick we get am athletic ILB/OLB that can stuff the run and cover. The only knock on him is his health. He had hip surgery last year if I remember right. Not sure if he's ready to go or not.

But if he's healthy he could be good for us, and fill a need. Only problem for me is it complicates the situation at ILB because I really like both Herrera and Junior Sly. Looks like they might both be headed to the practice squad.

Not sure how it complicates things at ILB. It's basically Freeman and a bunch of roster filler.

Psssh...Actually I hope he gets in Brady's face just like this and gives him a few choice words. Colts need some nastiness.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I vote we don't play him till week 6, let him heal and train and build up motivation and then turn him and Mathis loose on brady.

And tell Mathis to hit Brady on every hand-off, while Sio gets the RB. The Patriots run a lot if read option, right?

I remember the board liked him before the draft a couple years back, out of UConn if I remember correctly. He looked really good at times with the Raiders when I saw him play, although admittedly I don't watch the Raiders a lot. Still if only a 5-7, well worth it. Especially if it means dumping Werner, since it would be a big talent upgrade!

Let's wait and see how the trade turns out before we crown Grigson as god of gods...

Don't get me wrong Grigson made some good decision but also some bad ones and I'm just not the guy who is cheering for every move he makes and see a beast and potential pro bowler in every player he brings to the Colts.

TBH I hope D'Qwell just sits on the bench until the offseason when we can cut him. I never liked the signing and he has done nothing to quell my doubts.

I agree with you. But to be fair, he's had Chapman at NT. I'd like to see what he looks now that Parry is at the nose. probably will be gone next season anyways though.

Sio Moore and Irving probably replace Free and Jackson as starters next season anyways.

I honestly believe our linebackers simply suck even just watching the first team in the preseason lol I saw Anderson and or parry penetrate and force the rb to change direction but our linebackers never reacted until the rb passed the Los.. They don't flow to the play they left it come to them our dline isn't as bad as some think I just think freemen Jackson and Werner ruin the line backing core Cole and walden are only solid to me

At first glance this looks like a steal, but maybe the Raiders know something we don't?

The Browns pulled a fast one on us. But this is only a 6th round pick.

I doubt it.  What I think it is, is that Moore can be the kind of guy who could be disruptive if he's unhappy, and since Del Rio apparently had already made the decision that he wouldn't be a starter, they probably all just agreed to move him quickly to make everyone happy.

Here in the Bay Area, there's been a lot of talk related to Sio Moore and how he hasn't been putting in the effort. Del Rio likes fiery, hard working players and Sio fell out of favor. According to Del Rio, he got to play 9 snaps because that's what he earned. The other players worked harder and earned more playing time.

All of the sports talk radio guys said he was not going to make the 53-man roster. The colts basically got him before he was released.

As far as I can tell, the Raiders fans aren't happy with the trade. The prevailing sentiment seems to be Sio was a beast, and that the Raiders got the short end of the stick. As for the radio analysts, well, they're really just the loudest voice, since they have the mic.

    • Tobin did an excellent job...r.i.p
    • https://www.nfl.com/news/bill-tobin-longtime-nfl-executive-dies-at-age-83   He drafted some all time great players like Harrison, and of course is famous for his verbal match with Mel Kiper. RIP!
    • Then begs the question. Do u want to say draft a MJH at 4 and turn around in 4 years or would u say draft Turner and pay him 30mill in 4 years? All day every day for the franchise rush end. I am not a big believer in 30 mill for a wr. Reid is a fantastic coach and look what he did with Hill.
    • I literally just posted that clip, it's where the conversation about QBs started.
    • Funny you brought this up.  I just listened to an interview Ballard did today with Rich Eisen.  He asked him if he has given any thought on how many quarterbacks will be taken before our pick and how many does he think.  He said sure we go through those evaluations.  It helps us with for planning purposes.  He asked him how many.  4 or 5 or 6?   He laughed out loud at 6.  He said Rich if it’s 6 we will be so excited.  Let’s hope so.  He also said the draft board is not yet set.  Won’t be until the night before the draft.  He also said he has had multiple conversations with other GM’s concerning the draft.  Preparing themselves for opportunities that could take place.  And they will continue up until the draft starts.  He said trade conversations won’t really materialize until you are within three picks of any trade.  Giving you time to finalize it.  Interesting interview.  Oh he pretty much ruled out moving up for Harrison.   Going up into the top of the draft would be very costly for him he said.  Thinks he’s a great talent but he thinks he’s pretty much out of our reach.
