Really Like What I Saw From Clayton Geathers

I thought that Carter showed some flashes too.  Not sure if it was enough to keep him but we'll see.  I think he's just so inconsistent.  I didn't see much else from tonight except how bad that Bennett was.  Ugh...gotta feel that pressure bro!  Watch those windows too.  Not sure if he is hitting his target and just aiming poorly or if he's just got accuracy issues.

We're keeping carter. No doubts bout that. He's also essentially a rookie so he's gonna have his ups and downs.

Geathers looks good. I'm excited for this guy.

Let's temper the Bob and Troy talk. He played pretty good against 2s and 3s in a meaningless game. In the first Bengals series he was out of place on at least one or two plays. Totally expected from a rookie.

That said, I liked his athleticism. He looks real good for a rookie and I hope he's eventually our starter for year to come.

Also, I thought Smith looked a lot better.

He was all over the field tonight and had that nasty Bob sanders-esque hit on that tight end and made him fumble.

He seems like a play maker to me.  The fumble recovery on the onside kick last week was big.  Had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery last night, too.

We need playmakers.  I like this kid.

This is the most he's flashed all pre-season. He showed what his true potential is, which is to be a game changing type player who can make big plays.

However, he still needs a lot of work. Needs to get better at knowing his assignment and when he needs to come up or drop. He was out of position several times against the Bengals. But it was his best game so far

Geathers and Price were solid- made good reads, reacted well. The score was meaningless really. The new guys we needed to know would make an impact did- Parry and Anderson are going to be dependable, tough and nasty for years to come. Herrera is impressing. Silvestre is proving he can ball. Duron Carter finally makes an impact and Varga is surpassing my expectations. I would take him over Tipton right now. I'm pretty impressed with that game to be honest.

All I can remember is him getting dragged 5 yards while holding onto the running back.....

The back had momentum and lowered his helmet into a standing still Geathers. At least he took the right angle and completed the tackle unlike some previous safetys we've had.
