Favorite Reggie Wayne Memory?

I'd say the AFC championship game in 06 against the pats when he caught a pass had it knocked out of his hands into the air and he somehow snagged it back. We probably lose that game if heaven forbid he didn't recover it.

The one handed grab he made against the packers in 2012. Very sick catch and Reggie had a career day.

The game winning catch against Houston in 2011, I always remembered this one because I thought he wouldn't come back the following year.

The play against the Pats was definitely heartstopping, but we would have retained the ball as there was a penalty on the Pats anyway. We would have lost some yards on the play but would have had it, 1st down.

Those are by far and away my favorite memories of Reggie as well.

I was at the Colts vs Packers game were Reggie wore those orange gloves and went ham. 212 receiving yards and the reaching TD with 2 guys on his back. We sat right on the goal line and I saw him score that TD. Will always be one of my favorite memories. :blueshoe:

Super Bowl 41 waiting for Mannings pass to come down to him for the TD. He was wide open due to a blown coverage.  Manning under threw him big time.

There wasn't a defender in the camera's view. I'm sure Peyton didn't want to risk over throwing him. Just time to play catch.

Jeez, there are so many!

His Super Bowl touchdown catch, runs into the end zone and does his fist pump dance.

The catch against the Pats in the 2006 AFCCG where the ball flew up in the air and he caught it again.

Stretching out over the goal line with his orange gloves in 2012 against the Packers

His TD catch in the 4th and 2 game against the Pats to win it all

This.

04 Playoffs vs Denver when he had 10 rec 221 yds 2 TDs & 06 vs Denver when he had 10 rec 138 yds 3 TDs.

This.

And the way he showed up to camp the last few years.  Race car, helicopter, dump truck.  Honored the military by showing up with the Guard, honored Edge by showing up in a Cardinals Edge jersey.

Just a classy guy.  Glad he was our guy for so long, lot of good years.  Lots of good memories.

Who is Reggie Wayne you speak of? Doesn't he play for Patriots ?

the one where he didn't sign with the pats

Come on guys, if you think he shouldn't have signed with the pats, then I guess you think we should let Andre Johnson go since he signed with a huge rival... ?  Reggie did the same thing Andre did, so don't be hypocritical and cheer Andre while wishing ill upon Reggie.

Cheer for the Colts and against the Pats, but don't be petty.

R. Wayne has been wiped from my memory. He was never a Colt!

I'd argue that the Colts v Houston rivalry is nothing compared to the one v the Pats. If Reggie had gone to Houston I wouldn't have cared. Our division doesn't really have some strong rivalry within like an AFC North or NFC North .

When he intentionally dropped the game winning TD pass against the Colts in the AFC Championship game and then gave Tom Brady a Stone Cold Stunner and ripped off his jersey to reveal the blue and white #87 underneath! I don't know where he got two cold beers, but then he just chugged them right over Brady's lifeless body. It was awesome!

Texans fans might argue that we are to them, what the pats are to us.  Them losing AJ to us might feel the same as us losing Reggie to the pats.  You'd have to ask a Texans fan.

But since the Colts are at both ends of this spectrum, I think the fans should have a little perspective and let Reggie go make some more money and try to get another ring.  That's all AJ is doing.  That's all Rice did.

Reggie doesn't deserve any hate from a single Colts fan.

    • Our defense will never be GREAT as long as we play * defense by having corners 10 yards off the ball on 3rd and 3. And an unbelievable unwillingness to blitz more than 4 times a game. And also, it doesn't matter who is in the secondary if the front seven can't stop the run(we can) and get to the passer(we did ok getting to the passer, but we need more blitzing from lb'ers). Our first pick should be an offensive lineman like Fuaga, Powers-Johnson, or Barton. Then target a receiver like Polk, Pearsall, Washington, Corley, or Roman Wilson in the second or third rounds. As much as I would like to get Bowers I just don't see it happening. And we need a very good linebacker to go along with Speed and Franklin.
    • Yeah, could very well be. I think I remember Ballard said he did it to have more flexibility when asked. if it is Paye, I would rather see him play out the year before extending.
    • The idea of DeJean going in the late first round is due to his instincts and overall very competent play in nearly all aspects of DB play.  Cover 3 FS is more valuable, IMO, than a cover 2 FS.   Contrast DeJean's overall RAS and talents with Hooker, who was only good at being a single high deep guy...especially his rookie year where he picked off bad QBs for a while...and DeJean at 22 or later with a 3rd round pick gathered from a trade down is a much better decision than Hooker was at 15.   BTW, Blackmon had the same ACL injury as Hooker and did well as an overall S as a rookie, but wasn't a single high speed guy, and is probably still a better overall S now than Hooker is in DAL...both having the exact same injury years ago.
    • To the bolded, I don't constantly hear that. I see people say it on the Internet. It was a big thing when we were looking for a HC, how candidates would be scared off because of how the Reich/Saturday thing went, Irsay's meddling, etc. One specific theory was Sirianni would tell Steichen not to take the Colts job. We see how that went.   Does Irsay's history negatively impact the team? I'd like to know if there's any examples where you think it has.
    • Some are not understanding this. Have a feeling there will be an upset group after Thursday night. Give AR every opportunity to succeed by surrounding him with weapons. If Pittman was to miss a few weeks, it would be bad. Tbh we should draft offense the 1st and 2nd rounds. Sign a Simmons and a vet corner.
