I'm a Seminole fan...live here and everything. I even work at the biggest club in town so I'm knee deep in Seminole football. Ya'll just THINK I'm a Favre fanboy!

And...I have never seen a buttkicking like Oregon gave us, complete with that final nail in the coffin where Jameis back off from his rush that would have gave us a first down.

Jameis would have been picked by Tennessee then, and he might end up being as good a quarterback (if not better) as Mariota would.

I seriously doubt it. TN's QB coach, or OC, I can't remember, has a close relationship with Oregon's coach. They scouted him for a long time. I'd say half or less of the GMs reportedly would have drafted Jameis.

Either way, he's going to make the division better.

Ah so you think TN would've just ran with Mettenberger and picked one of the pass rushers or something? Interesting. I didn't know about the TN/Oregon connection, which is strange bc I'm surprised the analysts would've talked about it ad nauseam lol. I agree that adding Mariota should make the division better. But it'll take time. I don't think Tennessee is ready to win just yet.

I'm all for some competition in the AFC South. But for the titans it will likely be another year before we see what they really have in Marcus.

Yep. No QB's career can be made off of year one. I think he will still be one of the bright spots for them though. The Titans don't really have any other names besides Mariota at this point. He will certainly inject some much needed excitement into their fanbase.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or obtuse. TN would have picked Mariota regardless of where they drafted if he was available.

I'm not being either. I was operating under the assumption that Tampa took Marcus like the OP states. What I'm saying is I think Jameis would have been selected by Tennessee if things had shaken out that way, rather than going with Mettenberger. And I thought you were saying you didn't think they would take Jameis. Does that clear things up?

Im going to have to watch that game because Im wondering how the hell you allow Alex Smith to go 16 of 18 passing regardless of the dink and dunk passing game

 

 

As for Mariota, He has shown some good things so far but 3 games in and 2 turnovers and 0 td passes, With that said that team is very young

I kinda think Winston will be good and glad he's not in our division.I haven't seen mariota yet but wouldn't be surprised he improves titans early and I wish he wasn't in our division.

But Bortles is already showing he is going to be good, I like him alot. The afc south is going to be competitive.

Our biggest advantage has been the huge gap we've had in qb play over our division rivals. Well that gap is narrowing!

Dude...its in the topic title. It says

If that occurred Tenn would have took winston. But your suggestion it seems is that they would not. That's what he is going off of.

I like what I see so far from him but it is only preseason. When the bullets fly for real we'll see what he has. I also think Bortles is looking good as well. One could argue that the division being better makes us better but it sure is nice getting 6 automatic wins a season.

Well OP constantly says that Luck has a weak arm, but after three preseason games OP has determined that Mariota has a "cannon" just an observation.

OK, I see what you are saying. The OP needs to look at the tape of Luck to Hilton over the top and then make a comment.
