What if...........

 

He plays as good as when he was in NE?

 

He was a decent G there... not great, but better than whats on the Colts roster today at G

 

A man can dream

 

 

I think the Colts are still high on Donald Thomas, even after 2 years of injuries

 

Lets keep our fingers crossed (While keeping the sky high expectations at bay)........ He may be a starting G on this team

You'll have to listen to a bunch of different segments on 1070 to hear it. I've heard more than one person say it.

I really REALLY want to get excited about this but I just can't.... All I can see right now is the inevitable tweet that reads "Colts OG Thomas out for the season with...." I just know it will happen... probably before the season starts even!!

 

I hate being jaded about this guy but after 2 years of NOTHING what can you expect?

We could always take a look at the guard Andy L that some people on the forum wanted before he signed with the Titans he's currently on the roster bubble for them

Its funny you say that, because I probably was one of those guys that wanted him to be the saviour of this OL........

 

It just goes to show you,,,,,,,,,  It doenst always work out as its planned..........

 

The hindsight guys ("I TOLD YOU that we should have got THAT guy!!!! Gris is so STUPID..... We need to fire Pagano.....") dont tend to remember when they say we should have drafted or traded the farm for "Mr Amazing Talent"... Mt Talent,,,,, that doesnt work out........

 

I would LOVE to go through this forum over the past 5 years.... and see how many people were always right

 

It isnt an exact science......  we just read and reguritate most of the stuff that gets posted here.....  We see a play or two, and make an assumption.......

 

 

Maybe people that do this for a living ..........  maybe they are better at it   :)

haha well he could be better than what we have as much as I want a better run game if he's solid in pass protection he's already better than TH at rg

When HAVENT you seen a guy over 300 lbs walking slowly.....with the exception of when they're serving wings in the cafeteria lunch line.

That's also from 2014. What I heard on 1070 was within the last week or two, and I've heard it more than once.

Well, if he doesn't have a normal gate after all this time, then I don't see how he can be anywhere close to returning to football. I don't know his contract situation, but maybe the Colts took him off PUP so they wouldn't have to pay him an injury settlement when they cut him.

      I don't know either way but someone with a history like his and has been in rehab "at least 15 times" it is not a stretch to assume it was an overdose. I had no idea he was only 64.  I thought he was closer to being in his 80's.   Last December, police were called to Jim Irsay’s home around 4:30 a.m. ET and found him in bed unresponsive and cold during what authorities called a "suspected overdose." However, the Indianapolis Colts owner denied the authorities' report. "It wasn’t an overdose,’’ Irsay said to Fox 59 in Indianapolis. "I don’t know why when you have your name in the paper in the past, people throw that out there quickly. I don’t pay attention to it all that much, but I don’t think it’s fair."   "It's a long road and you have to be patient. The great news is everything is going well," a hospitalized Irsay said in March after he underwent a procedure on his right leg. The leg procedure was performed in an effort to improve Irsay's mobility. The 64-year-old also revealed that he has undergone "26 surgeries over the last seven years." The billionaire was the subject of a "Real Sports" interview with Andrea Kremer in November, when he said he has been to rehab "at least 15 times."       So disagree that the market dictates your value to the league and even inflates it on the 1st day? If he was seen as a legit starting SS by the league, I am sure he would have been offered an extension by the Colts and/or another team. Its pretty simple actually. I honestly dont know why people on here are opposing my views on Blackmon. He is just a good safety and that is it. Due to injuries and play, he has not established himself as anyting other than slightly average.
