I haven't been to a bar in a long time because of situations like this.  Last time I was at a bar, I was in the outdoor patio area talking to a female comedian who happened to be black.  All of a sudden this drunk white girl started yelling at me that "NO, she was NOT going to show me her teets!!!"  I had never seen, much less talked, to this girl before.  If it had been a guy yelling at me like that, I probably would have left the bar immediately, because she was angry and getting in my face about it.  I think she had me mixed up with someone else, or was reliving some sexual harassment from the past or something because she wasn't listening to a word I said and just kept yelling at me.

 

I tried to ignore it, but she was drunk and beligerent.  At one point, the comedian I was talking to started talking back to the drunk girl (which was kinda funny since she was a quick-witted, mostly sober comedian), and the drunk girl started spouting off all this racist stuff as well.  She called the comedian a "sluht" and a "ghetto ho" and tried to fight with her, it was ridiculous.  The manager had to kick her out of the bar, but she waited in the parking lot and CONTINUED yelling at me when I tried to leave.

 

She is lucky she was yelling at me and not some drunk meathead woman-beater.

Whoa, this situation sounds like a SNAFU no audience member wants to be a part of. The club had no security or bouncer to escort this intoxicated women off the premises? I'm surprised. But then again smaller venues don't have the budget for that either. I'm not blaming you the victim in this situation either BTW BDW. It sounds like a freaking nightmare man. You can't reason with an angry drunk it's impossible. Been there done that unfortunately. Did you ever go back to the same club again? Clubs owners do need to think about crowd control should an unpleasant fight or altercation break out. 

 

It reminds me of the movie "RoadHouse" with the late actor Patrick Swayze: "I want you to me nice until it's time to not be nice...You are the bouncers & I am the cooler. All you have to do is watch my back & each others & take out the trash."

 

A woman can strike a man, but a man can never respond accordingly without serious legal repercussions. Why? Because if you get a major felony on your record your life is over & guys are seen as the aggressor in 85-90% of physical confrontations even if they provoked no one or are just trying to leave quickly & quietly without incident. It's easier to just let the drunk woman lash out in the longrun.

 

Again, sorry to hear about what you went thru BDW. Nobody deserves that.

Knew someone would take my comments to that level.  Of course in that instance you protect yourself at all costs - did not really think that needed to be explained.

 

Let me re-phrase - in the circumstances that were seen on the video or in any situation where there is no immediate life and death threat, there is absolutely no justification for hitting a woman - EVER.  You simply do not do it.  One, it is just an amazingly cowardly act and two - there is no good that comes from it.  I don't care if she swung and hit first, don't hit back.    

 

Why? Because they are the "weaker sex"? Pretty sexist man. Equal rights, equal fights.
