funny you started this thread,...just found this:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2510908-setting-realistic-expectations-for-each-indianapolis-colts-rookie

i think this:

dorsett: 40 catches 550 yards  5 td's

smith:   possibly taking over Tolers job by week 8.  3 int's

anderson:  splits time with Langford, 30 tackles  5 tfl's  3 sacks

geathers:  wins SS spot by week 4,  50 tackles 2 ints

parry:     does not see alot of time, mainly rotational, 10 tackles

robinson:  becomes 2nd running back by week 8.  100 carries 450 yards 4 td's

herrera:  cut by team.  -i think the inside linebacker jobs will be taken by our 2 starters, and irving and hodges.

goode:   makes the team only as a situational goal line blocker, but is also kept on to continue grooming at OT.

I agree like 85 percent. The only thing i don't agree with is robinson becoming the number 2 running back by week 8. I dont think he will see more than 50 touches.... maybe two TD's....

Dorsett 40 rec 550 yds 3 TDs

Smith 25 Tackles 1 int 6 pass deflections

Anderson 30 Tackles, 3 Sacks, 1 FF

Geathers 35 Tackles 1 INT, 7 deflections

Robinson 35 Rushes 110 yds 0 rush TD's 12 Receptions 95 Yards receiving 1 Rec TD

Those are very high numbers for everybody who you projected.  Some of mine are even high, but I really don't see any of them starting week 1.  Smith, Anderson, and Geather may have the opportunity during the season to start but I really don't forsee anything happening before week 8 (barring injury)

Dorsett will be at least 3rd probably 4th on the depth chart and Robinson will be 4th maybe 5th.

    • ID rather just stay at 15 the move down 14 spots just for a 2nd and 4th
    • I want a move to get a possible playmaker with the 1st pick. Balard trades down and I don't see a playmaker on the defensive side.
    • Maybe a 4th thrown in but wouldn’t expect more than that.
    • I'd be willing to trade down a few spots, 5 max, and try to trade back up at the end of the first. Someone will fall, and that could be a good time to pick up help for this team.
    • That's a meaningful clarification for me.   I was just getting ready to say that I get where you're coming from, because there's a lot of grasping at straws and hearing what you want to hear. For example, some people listened to Chris Ballard say he'll probably trade back, and then listened to him explain why he likes to trade back, and came away convinced that he's going to trade up. I don't get that...    But I was going to say that I disagree with you because Ballard doesn't really make intentionally misleading statements, and he drops clues about his draft strategy every year, to the point that Stampede Blue runs an article before every draft trying to decipher the clues and figure out which players the Colts might draft. I'm not a fan of their work in general, but they've had a noteworthy measure of success for a few years now. They pretty much nailed the Rock Ya-Sin pick back in 2019, they got four players right last year, and four of the first five picks in 2022. Here's this year's predictions. So I think we can figure out some basic stuff by piecing together what we know about the Colts preferences and comparing that with the things Ballard has said.   However, your clarification is important, because in these videos I think the Colts are very careful to avoid releasing any identifying information about prospects and teams. In this latest video, we see someone watching tape of a Michigan game, and we hear someone's voice at the same time, so maybe you'd think what's being said applies to a Michigan player. But the audio might not be synced with what we're seeing. The way they splice in the B-roll and handle the audio, they can be showing you one thing but talking about something completely different. That's not rocket science, it's not a novel concept, but it's important to keep it in mind. And it would be smart of the Colts production team to make sure they misdirect whenever they can.
