Colt's role as a Colt is absolutely irrelevant to this piece. The guy showed incredible athleticism/ups. The fact that you don't think it deserves any attention because he's not a key player is ridiculous.

 So what if he is a back up player? There are 22 starters so that means there are 31 back up players. Why do you insist on spewing negative comments? Sometimes your comments suggest your not really a Colt fan, just a pretender.

If he did actually complete the jump than he is definitely not Billy Hoyle but you do have to consider that glitch at the peak of his jump.

Assuming it is not fake, at most it is a one or two step "run". If he was running full speed, he would have face planted into the wall.

It looked ....odd. There's a 'skip' in his motion after he left the ground, appearing as if he didn't make the jump, appearing as if his momentum was reckoning him to fall backward. 

 

The fact that his probable hand hold is out of frame makes me question this as nothing but a joke response to Moncrief's impressive leap. It looks to me like he grabbed something with his hands that is above and out of frame. 

 

That being said, if I tried this, I would've collapsed during the running start phase. The only jump that would occur thereafter would be the paramedics attempting to jump-start my heart.

I agree. There was a brief cut in the middle after he jumps and before he lands. It looked odd.

You're probably right.  there's probably a bar that he grabbed and pulled himself up with his arms.

 

More plausible than my trampoline theory as it does look like he jumped off the floor.

He had 16 special teams tackles last year.    The figure used in the story (87) is his career total.

 

I think he's got no better than a 50-50 shot to make the roster this year.

 

Other players in his way.....   Adams, Lowery, Geathers,  Guy,  McDonald.    That's 5.

 

And it's not even clear that 5 will make the 53 man roster....

 

I'm not saying he's a bad player....    but I think he falls far short of being a "great player".....

Really? Basically slowing the frames down then speeding them up at the apex of his jump makes it look fake? Two functions a monkey could perform in basic video editing.
