Former Colt Safety Laron Landry didn't want anything to do with multiple Colts teammates

Its not because of the roids. Or at least I've never seen steroids make any of my buddies act like that. Its just because he's a _. Fill in the blank. Or maybe he was just so embarrassed by how bad he sucked he didn't want to face any of his hard working teammates. I hope that punk's reading this message board. Top 10 pick? What a bust. Cant even make a tackle.

It's a bit odd to read that, as a lot of players have come and gone over the years and they tend to speak well of the their time in Indy. So when I take the big picture view on his comments, I get what Reggie meant by "question mark".  Perhaps those teammates were the ones getting in his ear about accountability, responsibility, availability, preparation, film study, etc.? I'm inclined to believe his teammates let him know he wasn't carrying his weight.

I'm surprised that so many are surprised by this.

Landry behaved this way for the vast majority of his tenure with the Colts.  The guy was constantly in isolation mode.  Some people are just introverts by nature, which is fine.  Then, there are some people that are "me first" guys.  Landry wast the latter.  Worked out by himself, always did the bare minimum w/ respect to any team-related activities.

His days in the league are numbered.  Bad rep, below average coverage/tackling skills, and a repeat offender w/ respect to the use of PEDs.

No kidding maybe he should give his money to..Yeah I see happening. He didn't want to do his job but I bet he wanted paid the millions he got paid. There should be clauses in contract that says if you don't do you job at the best of your ability then we get your money back just saying!

Lol no problem with that contract.

Why is this even relevant to anything?  SO what, Landry didn't hang around his teammates, big whoop.  This would be a non issue even if he were still a Colt, now that he is not, it's even less of an issue.

And most of the comments about Bethea being bad his last year with the Colts are wrong.  And the 2014 season in SF proved the Colts made a mistake by not signing him.

Part of his problem was injuries to others in the secondary and some missing the assignments and him trying to cover those mistakes.

Great point.  At one point he was trying to do too many things and he really got out of psition.  I believe one of the reasons:  A guy whose name 'rhymes with' Cassius Vaughn.  :)

If where he wants to be is suspended for 14 games over the course of 24 games, that's his prerogative.  But it seems pretty clear to me where his priorities are and why he was a castaway in the lockerroom.  If everyone else who talks about the colts locker room as being a family, including guys who have been there for only a few months, and if Landry wasn't part of that family, there's a good chance it's not because of anything/anyone else except for Landry.

Whatever is being said about Landry seems to be the exact opposite of what's being said about Lowery:

“(Lowery has) bought into everything that we were trying to teach him and he’s helping out the young guys and at the same time he’s working really well with Mike. He’s just bought into the system, gets along with everybody, a role model for the younger guys.”

“(Lowery) has a work ethic out of this world,” cornerback Greg Tolericon-article-link.gif said.

“Every time you turn around, he’s always trying to get better. In the room, on the field, he’s always trying to correct us. Some guys try to shy away from that, stay on their strengths but he’s always trying to make everything a strength.”

Reading this makes me think Lowery is going to have his best season with us.Pagano has proven to be a mastermind coaching DBs if they are willing to be part of the team, unlike Landry.
