Yeah, that's not dark and demeaning at all...

Just say you think he looks like a pedophile.

I dont think he looks like a pedophile, but I think he looks like someone that could be a huge jerk..  Again, these are just my through the looking glass observations of him.. i dont know him.. although it doesnt help that he appears to be behind some sort of sting operation with the deflategate story, so im sure that sways my opinion

Yeah, I'm sure it does.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you didn't expect your comment to be taken that way. But when you say you don't like the way someone looks, especially a man, and then say you wouldn't trust him with your kids... there aren't a lot of ways to take a comment like that.

And I don't just take offense at it because he's the Colts GM. I just think it's an offensive thing to say about anyone. It's ignorant -- especially in the case of a person who is a well-respected family man, someone that's only spoken well of by anyone who knows him -- and kind of mean.

You can call that sensitive if you want. I think we're just talking about decency.

Oh, I didn't realize he turned down an offer. I don't blame him though as a one year extension is probably not what he was looking for.

Ian Rapoport made a comment on NFL Network the other day (don't ask me for a link, lol) that Pagano didn't coach most of 2012, so he really only has two years on the job. I think that's kind of a misstatement; I think he deserves a lot of credit for setting the tone in 2012, and I think he was the right man for the job. But it is possible that missing 12 games -- and the team going 9-3 -- raises some questions about just how important he is, how much influence he's had, etc.

I'm a fan, but I understand the team not jumping out there and offering him a long term deal yet. I posted in that other thread that just because he was right for the first phase doesn't mean he's right for the next phase. This year is the year that I think both he and Grigson have a lot riding on. The Colts need to be more than a fringe contender for either of them to really command the big bucks.

Defaltegate don't even matter.

The Colts lost. Time to move on.

This probably would have mattered if the Patriots would have lost the SB. They didn't. They won it in the mist of controversy surrounding them and that's all there is to it. All their controversies in the past now are also laid to rest in the coffin since they got ring #4. We can't make fun of them anymore sadly about Spygate.

I think this is a non-issue. After the balls were replaced by the officials, they outscored them 28-0. If the deflated balls really were that bad, they weren't helping them as much as the normal ones did in the second half.

Even without this controversy the Colts still would get stomped in the ground by them. The Patriots were the better team that day and that's all there is to it.

Had that game been closer and not a blowout like that where the other team had no chance whatsoever in winning, I would see some reason to keep beating this dead horse.

Now, I don't see where deflategate is an issue at all. Even if the Patriots do get a harsh punishment, I don't see where it matters. They won the SB while dealing with all this controversy.

That is a very astute comment by Rapaport. I didn't even think about 2012. It probably also does not help that Arians has also done a great job in Arizona after leaving Indy and won coach of the year again last year. But I agree with you. I think Pagano set the tone and has continued to move the team forward the last two years.

The part I don't get is this whole phase 2. Aren't you already there? You were one of the last two teams standing in the AFC and beat one of the favorites in Denver and you did in on the road in a dominant performance by the defense IMO. What exactly needs to happen this year to draw that line between phase 1 and phase 2? It is hard to get back to the title game so I hope that is not the barometer or winning the Super Bowl. Or is it more getting consistent play and not seeing the lopsided scores? Of course those happen too. The Pats last year played two horrible games to start the season and then barely beat the Raiders at home.

Pagano is a nice guy, but I can't help but look at Grigson and just think there is something off about that guy. I don't know him personally or anything but like I wouldn't trust him with my kids lol, he just has a look about him that I don't like

Wow. How low can you go! This is inappropriate and disgusting. It says a lot about you and your character.

Not getting outplayed by teams with good QBs (Broncos, Steelers, Patriots, Cowboys, etc.) Like you said, more consistent play on both sides of the ball, not getting blown out, and so on.

It's hard to take the Pats comparison seriously. They've been in the championship game five years in a row, two Super Bowls in the last four years, just won last year. They are a perennial contender. Meanwhile, if Cincinnati had beat Pittsburgh in Week 17, the Colts would have had to play the same team that scored 51 points on them earlier in the year, and then who knows if they even get out of the first round?

I've enjoyed the upward trajectory. But we've seen more teams go deep in the playoffs, lose, and go barreling back down the standings -- like the Falcons -- than teams get there and stay there for a long time. Statistically speaking, we're more likely to be a flash in the pan than to be a consistent contender. Pagano has to show that he's not Mike Smith.

Your entire contribution to this thread has been an absolute embarrassment.

Then move along junior.. i made a side handed comment and, in typical Colt fashion, it was turned into the beginning of Armageddon...

I'm sure I could find 1,000 posts that don't put Belichick, Kraft or Brady in the most glamorous of light..

If you have nothing to contribute other than to insult me, then MOVE ALONG

Many fans on this forum have already opined that this is a big year, possibly a make-our-break year, for Grigs and/or Pags. The bar is very high in Indianapolis. Irsay wants championships. The only thing great about this team is the passing game and special teams. The running game and offensive line have been subpar. The defense has been abysmal at times and average at others.

Pags is supposed to be a defensive mind. Either he's not head coaching material or Grigs is not getting him the talent he needs to succeed; or both.

Looking forward to knowing the answer this season.

Calling out your trash post for being a trash post isn't an overreaction.

And for all the less than flattering comments about Belichick, Kraft or Brady, none were as low as your implication about Grigson.

That you're even trying to mount a defense, rather than just admitting that your comment was in poor taste, speaks poorly of you.

I keep trying to tell you all EVERYONE is on watch this season.       Pags, Grigs..      Thus the "ALL IN" FA mode they went to.

Just cant keep getting your * kicked by the good teams and missing on top picks.

It's a business.       Heck with out AL nobody on this staff and FO would still be working today .

I don't see a rift between Pagano & Grigson where do talking heads in the media get this nonsense? Pagano will be back next year in INDY. I don't read anything into declining an extension. Chuck just wants to finish out his deal & let the chips fall where they may. I don't blame him. I'd do the same thing in his shoes.

JM51 is a good guy. I don't understand why he said what he said about our head coach, but we all have said some outlandish things at 1 time or another. It happens. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt so when I do that something off the wall they cut me some slack too. I don't think he truly meant what he said or inferred. Maybe he just had a tough day at the office. I don't know.

Even in this post you find a way to diss Colt fans.

BTW, your comment was not side handed, it was rude, disrespectful, derogatory, and uncalled for.

Your comments on a colts board are very out of place ,sure we commit on our thoughts of the pats but we dont go to your house and do it .Also most of the bad things written about the pats are substantiated  not just how a person looks. Who are you to tell a colts fan on a colts board to move along? The mods should ban you , But instead I will be chastised, But you sir are the trouble maker.

Take it from a guy with experience.. just stay out of these threads. There are plenty of posters beating the tar out of him.

Then don't read them.. you pretty much never have an opinion to say about anything other than attacks on specific posters

No I have lots of opinions and contribute quite a bit,  I don't just get on here to roast the board. The posters I "attack" are the ones who mouth off and think they are above reproach, you know like yourself. Maybe if you didn't make terrible statements you wouldn't be called out. Or at least have the decency to say you were wrong and stop trying to act like it wasn't scummy and that everyone else has thin skin.

I understand giving someone the benefit of the doubt, but when you imply that someone looks like a pedophile and because of that you wouldn't trust them around your kids then you really don't deserve any slack. Add to that the fact that he was given the chance to say he made a dumb comment and instead he tried to act like people who thought it was out of line were at fault then yeah He gets no slack.

You're a good dude SW1, and the above is in no way me being negative towards you. I'm apparently not as forgiving as you are :thmup:make it through the day without

I appreciate that Corgi thank you for your kind words on my behalf. People are certainly allowed to feel & express their opinion on JM51's comments any way they choose. Was it the wisest thing to say? Probably not. But, all my interactions with JM51 have been good ones & I'm not going to tar & feather a guy over one unorthodox post. What's been said has been said, & you have 2 choices: Unleash venom or just move on. I choose the latter not the former.

Okay fine. I typed head coach accidentally vs GM my mistake. If I went after every dude that said something derogatory about someone I liked & respected, I'd have an ulcer by the time I'm 50. What purpose does that serve exactly?

Let it go. It's like somebody who calls you a caboose hole for cutting you off in traffic. It means nothing in the grand scheme of things dw49 because the other person doesn't really know you & the only person that gets riled up is the person who holds on to that anger & frustration. JMO.
