Future Specialty Positions in the NFL

I have always wondered what the next nfl specialty positions will be

Who would have thought years ago there would be a special teams center (Longsnapper) or someone to just kick off the football  Like Danny Kight in 1999-2000. McAfee also punts so he doesn't count

Will there ever be a specialty kick blocker: Someone over 7 feet that can jump :)

What else comes to mind?

we are a few days from free agency so here a topic to have fun with

Boomstick is a specialty player. He punts, holds for field goals, can kick field goals and is the emergency QB. In camp I seem him play on the defense and the WR position. He might be the best athlete on the team. One of a kind that's for sure. I ask him about playing on the defense and he just laughed and said he was a jack of all trades.

After what happened to the Packers, I wouldn't be surprised to see a designated hands team catcher. Basically you put a fast guy with good hands up as close to the area the onside kick should be received. Or maybe a few designated catchers. Maybe one to the left, one to the right, and one in the center.

You wouldn't have to waste a roster spot either, just put the 3 guys on your team with the best hands on the field.

He can certainly tackle well

He is a trip. He talks to fans at the camp like he knows you or something. I didn't get to go last camp because of illness but plan on going this year for sure. Great day for $10 for parking. It's pretty cool to be close enough to the players you can hear them talk.

Packers had a hands guy perfectly positioned. Bostic was there to block, but had an epic fail by trying to catch it himself.

There must be an 8 foot basketball player we could sign to block FG's!

Is that what happened lol? Bostic wasn't even supposed to catch it? Wow no wonder people are sending him death threats. Albeit that is a little too extreme, and it's just a game but wow. If you're not going to stick to your assignment, at least make the play.
