WIth them taking a double look that means he's definitely on their radar in my estimation.

I agree. But theres a possibility he isn't there at our pick in #2. Hopefully Grigson doesn't go crazy and pick Tevin Coleman #1. It would be really bad if Gurley or Gordon are there at #29 and we pick Coleman instead because he's a hometown IU grad. Ouch.

I think Gurley has a fairly good shot of being there only because of the ACL.  Gordon may be gone, especially when you see what is going on with teams like the Cowboys potentially getting rid of Murray.  Not just the Cowboys though.

Not that bad I can see Coleman being better than both

Really? I disagree. Coleman looks like a straight runner and can lack the cut back. He's being compared to Daren McFadden from NFL draft page. But who knows. Hopefully he's better than Richardson.

And Gordon is a product of his line and Gurley though solid has health issues

That's so wrong it's not even funny. Gordon is one of the most elusive runningbacks in the draft and does a ton on his won.

Coleman has no power, no moves, and is a stiff, upright runner. Now he's undersized on top of that. He's pretty fast though so I'll give him that.

He seems to have the decisiveness and the speed to hit the hole that Richardson doesn't. Then again, so did Rochardson in Alabama.

I wanna say smokescreen and they're just looking at every option but Grigson did say in that press conference "If we miss, we better not miss in our backyard". If I see our RB coach, Chud, Pagano, or Grigs at his pro day and we bring him in for a private workout there might be something to this.

I like him at 2 or 3 rounds!

Me too. Coleman as a round 2 or 3 pick, I will be OK with that. Preferable if round 3 but most teams might have him pegged like Leveon Bell or Eddie Lacy, closer towards the end of the 2nd, IMO.

If I am picking an RB towards end of round 2, I'd go with Jay Ajayi of Boise State, and at end of round 3, I'd rather go with Javorius Allen of USC. Both those guys fit the profile of 3 down backs to me, much like LeVeon Bell.

Given his skill set, he's really more of a 3rd round pick, but in recent memory 2nd round is usually when teams let out a sigh of relief and say "Okay now we can get a RB". The 2nd round is pretty much the RB round now. Outside of Gordon and Gurley (depending on his medical) I don't know if I see a 2nd round back. Maybe Abdullah, but some teams will knock him for his size.

If DGB is there at 29 u gotta take him not so often u get a Calvin Johnson type receiver jus think of him paired with TY and our TEs. But back to this subject i would like either Coleman, Abdullah, or Johnson in the 2nd to 3rd round with so much Rb depth this year. I can see Grigs really getting back to his 2012 drafting ways and really finding those late round gems this year not to even mention free agency.

I'd be real okay if we ended up with Tevin Coleman.  Although he doesn't have a whole lot of moves the dude

is successful because he's a super fast,  keep the pads forward, slash type of runner. He hits the hole like he's running after someone that stole something from him.  I can see why he ran all over Ohio State. I don't think he depended on the big play at all the closer I've looked at things. The guy kept a good YPC average and made big plays because of his speed and acceleration into a hole. Even if things are defended tightly He'll scoot forward for 3 to 5 yards on runs other backs would have gotten 2 to 3 yards. Plus I like his potential as a pass catcher.   I've grown more confident that he'll be successful if chosen.

Something about Ajayi going to the Colts feels right. I don't know anything about the draft prospects yet but, Ajayi has my vote for now.

I am with you on this better than a 2nd for Forte. I think when it is all said and done Ajayi is the best back in this draft. Perfect fit for the Colts great hands out of the backfield.

I am not high on Coleman at all don't think he'd be such a hot topic on the board if he played at Michigan

Dallas will draft Gordon he brings the most hype and we know how much Jerry loves the spotlight.

They are going to let Murray go. At the beginning of last year they were questioning if Murray was the back of the future in Dallas because he couldn't stay healthy.

I would stay away from Gurley that knee bothers me I hate drafting players coming off of injuries especially early.

I personally like Ajayi think he would be the best fit for the Colts and may end up being the best RB in this class. That being said RB is so deep I would not use a high pick on any of them. If he was there in the 3rd I would take a long look might pull the trigger depending on who is on the board

Realistically how many backs are going in the top 100? I don't think there is a huge drop in talent from 1 to 10 and it won't matter much anyway if we don't get an  O Line blowing people off the ball.

And that's really the most important thing with RB's, or at least one of the most important things. Hitting the hole fast and having good vision. It's what makes RB such a plug and play position. And although I like guy like Abdullah or Cobb for their power running, maybe Coleman is what the Colt's need.

We're probably never going to be a power run team like we wanted, but the playoffs showed we have our own model of a "running game". Outside stretches, pitches, and check downs. We don't have to have some big bruising runner who just powers through the line. We can have a more speed based and elusive runner. Also go to about 1:05 in that video and you see that Coleman puts a defender on the ground in pass protection.

I wasn't a fan early on, but after research I wouldn't be upset at Coleman in the 2nd round.

What's interesting on this, is that Coleman was the ONLY weapon on the field for the hosers

You see 8 man boxes from my college team..(THE Ohio State Buckeyes).... And he still gained a boatload of yards

He saw 8 man boxes ALL year.

This guy is the real deal

A little bit of daylight, and he is gone

2nd round pick..... All day, every day
