Greetings, and thanks for coming back for another NFL and AFC playoff game here in the Game Day Forum involving our 2015 AFC South Division Champions Indianapolis Colts, Colts Nation!  :)  Our  #4 playoff seed, and 13-5 Indianapolis Colts, are in Foxborough, Massachusetts, to play the AFC East Champions, and #1 playo ff seed  and 13-4 New Engalnd Patriots to play in tonight's American Football Conference Championship Game (AFCCG). Colts path to Super Bowl XLXIX continues in Foxboro, M, as the Colts will try to win their first AFC Playoff game at New England in their fourth attempt, and advance to Super Bowl XLXIX in Glendale, Arizona.

Both Colts RB Trent Richardson and OT Xavier Nixon did not travel with the team to each take care of their personal family issues. Nixon also missed the team flight to New England, and both players are inactive for tonight's contest.

New England unfortunately defeated our Indianapolis Colts earlier during the regular season just two months ago, winning 42-20 at LOS (the building) back on November 16.  Two touchdown passes by Andrew Luck, a 10-yard pass play to Hakeem Nicks in the second quarter, and a 1-yarder to tackle Anthony Costonzo later in the fourth quarter.  Adam Vinetieri's two field goals from 32 and 53 yards, and his two PAT's were all the Colts scoring in their loss. Patriots QB Tom Brady completed 19 of his 39 pass attempts for 257 yards, while and despite Andrew Luck completing 23 of his 39 passes for 303 yards in the Colts loss.

Both Indianapolis and New England are in their fifth postseason meeting, with the Patriots leading 4 games to 1.  Colts only win over the Patriots was also their only postseason home game with the Patriots at Indianapolis. Then Colts QB Peyton Manning lead Indianapolis to a 38-34  victory in the 2008 AFC Championship Game at the RCA Dome back on January 21, 2007. Peyton completed 27 of his 47 passing attempts for 349 yards, while Patriots QB Tom  Brady was completed 21 out his 32 passes, for 232 yards.

Indianapolis is playing their fourth AFC Playoff Game at New England tonight. Patriots unfortunately won the previous three meetings at Gillette Stadium. Patriots defeated the Colts 24-24, in the AFC Championship Game in both teams first postseason meeting back on January 18, 2004.  Patriots defeated the Colts again one year later in their AFC Divisional Playoff Game at New England by the score of 20-3, back on January 16, 2005.

New England also defeated Indianapolis 43-22  in both teams previous playoff meeting during the 2014 AFC Divisional Playoff Game in Foxborough, back on January 11, 2014.  Colts QB Andrew Luck threw two touchdown passes to LaVon Brazill from 38 and 35 yards each, Colts TE Dwayne Allen recovered a safety in the end zone, and Adam Vinetieri  also kicked two field goals from 36 and 21 yards, and added two PAT's foe the Colts game scoring.

However, New England running backs  LaGarrette Blount and Steven Ridley both scored all the touchdowns and used their running attack for the Patriots, replacing Tom Brady's pass plays in the end zone for New England.  Blount scored TD's three times from 2 yards, then a 73-yard run in the fourth quarter.  Ridley added runs from 3 yards and 1 yard, along with a two-point run conversion, in the second half. Stephen Gostkowski also kicked five PAT's to complete the game scoring for the Patriots.

Tom Brady only completed 13 of his 25 passes for 198 yards for their playoff victory for the Patriots, , while the Colts Andrew Luck labored in his passing game, completing 20 of his 41 passes, for 331 yards in a last year's Colts playoff loss.  New England also outscored Indianapolis's three previous postseason visits at Gillette Stadium, 87 points to 39.

Indianapolis is also on a current five-game losing streak, both regular and postseason over New England, and also has out scored the previous five meetings 206 points to the Colts 118. Colts last win over ther Patriots was the narrow 35-34 home victory at LOS played more than five years ago back on November 15, 2009. Matt Stover's PAT after the Peyton Manning 1-yard pass play to Reggie broke the tie with 14:47 remaining in the game.  Manning also completed 28 of his 44 passes for 327 yards for the Colts last victory over the Patriots.

Tonight is also the 79th all-time and overall meeting between the Colts and the Patriots, including tonight's fifth postseason game. New England unfortunately leads the overall series entering tonight with 49 wins and 29 losses, a rivalry that began after the AFL-NFL joint merger in 1970.   Baltimore Colts defeated the Boston Patriots in the very first game, and winning the first three games  of the series, played at Harvard Stadium in Boston by the score of 14-6, back on October 4, 1970.

Visiting Colts are wearing their white helmets, jerseys, and pants with blue trim, while the host Patriots are wearing their silver helmets, navy blue jerseys, and silver pants on the playing field.

NO further injuries. Let's hope the Colts as a team can pull the same upset on the field as they accomplished last Sunday at Denver, and win tonight to earn a trip to Super Bowl XLXIX, and first Super Bowl in eight seasons. So sick and tired of the Pats.  So sick and tired of Tom Brady and BB.  So sick and tired of the ex Pat jocks on TV. Just so sick and tired of that team. I hope the Colts make Bruschi and McGinist sick.

Time for the Colts to knock off that evil arrogant empire.

The teams look to be about equal, the Colts can do it.  Go Colts

I don't know about that.  Overall the Pats have a better team, that is why they are the favorite.  It would be an upset if the Colts win, an upset that I hope will happen tonight.

Afternoon, all.  Feeling good about this one.  Good that the weather won't be much of a factor until later in the game.

This one should be a good one that we can definitely win.

Luck is rockin' the neckbeard today and looking calm.  It's a good sign.

Go COLTS!  All day, every day!

If the Colts Defense can get to Brady early and break his stride, they can win. This is how the Ravens almost beat them. The Colts Cornerbacks roster is better than the Ravens, so that should provide more opportunities for the Colts.

Okay. Seattle won the NFC Championship Game in overtime 28-22 with a TD bomb from Russell Wilson to Jermaine Kearse.  Wilson was 3 for 3 passing in that OT drive.

Winner of this AFC Championship Game plays the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLXIX two weeks from tonight. Packers were leading 16-0 at halftime.

The onside kick and fumble  by the Packers #86 was the turning point, then the Seahawks scored 15 points, including the two-point conversion, in 44 seconds. Packers then scored a 48-yard field goal by Mason Crosby with 28 seconds left in regulation.

Then we know the outcome of the NFCCG.
