Suh's Step on Roger's Ankle

It was said around midseason if Suh  does one more act of stupidity like he did again yesterday he may get the hammer from the NFL. I would love tov see that cheating s.o.b. get pulled from the playoffs and fined to the max if not banned from half the season next year. Look out Rome, if Suh gets to play he is coming after you.

He just stood on his ankle to the point that Rodgers had to push him off. I think he will get suspended for the playoff game.

hes a great talent but would u spend big on him knowing what he does can easily lead game bans? still think someone will spend big on him but i wouldnt

Follow up-watching some of the sports talks guy, Mike and Mike and Chris Carter all agree no problem it happens all the time!! I totally disagree. Not only was that intentional, it was on a QB that they knew was a huge wall to them winning the division and it was done to the NFL MVP (or should be)!

if this was anyone other then suh, youd say it was unintentional. quit bashing the guy

Say you have a guy who has 5 convictions of grand theft auto on his record.  And then he's accused of stealing a car.

If it where any other guy many of us would say "Innocent until proven guilty", however since it's this guy we tend to privately assume he's guilty.  Do you think that's wrong?

Sorry but Suh earned his reputation and anything questionable that he does from now on is going to be seen in that light, just like anyone else in this world.

Sure it could be unintentional but I'm not going to be too skeptical about it because of Suh's history.  If it where someone who's been in the league a few years and had no history of this sort of behavior, I might be more skeptical about people claiming it's intentional.  For that guy I would be more willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.  But Suh isn't going to get the benefit of any doubt.

And let's not forget, reputation CAN be used against you in a court of law.  The fact that the guy with 5 prior convictions of grand theft auto can and will be used against him in securing that 6th conviction.  We don't look at these things in a vacuum.

Who else has ever done it? Other than him ... twice. Stomping on the face (intentionally - he did admit it) of the Packer Olineman on Tgiving and now stepping on Rodgers ...

Not to mention that these sort of "unintentional" behaviors happen with him more then anyone I know of.  You look at nearly any other player with a clean reputation and you can find 1 maybe a couple if they have been in the league a while of incidents where you can look and wonder if they where intentionally trying to hurt someone.  They usually get the benefit of the doubt because they don't have a long history of it.

Suh has at least one of these every year.

I think he at least needs to be fined.  The other Packers on the field had a great vantage point to see it.  They got in his face for a reason.  Whether he intentionally landed on that spot or not, he stayed way too long.....

suh is suspended for the playoff game. what a joke

There needs to be more punishment for crap that happens after the whistle like that.

There is stuff that happens when football is being played that gets penalized but that sort of stuff is bound to happen when a defender is playing hard.

The stuff like this . . . it's intentional and unacceptable.

What's it going to take before the league starts taking things like this more seriously?  Suh actually breaking Rodger's ankle?

He was walking backwards and then stayed on Rodgers leg so long that Rodgers had to push him off ....

he was getting his footing because a lineman was holding him and then walked forward. you cant tell me suh's past history wasnt a factor in this decision

Here is the video, http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2014/12/28/ndamukong-suh-aaron-rodgers-stomp/20983723/

No lineman is holding him. In fact Lang is grabbing his shirt to pull him forward and he steps backwards onto Rodgers and keeps his foot there until Rodger pushes him off.

And yes I do think Suh's history was at play here in terms of the suspension. He has a history of this type of behavior. Would have been maybe a fine at most had he not stomped at the Packers Olineman in the face during Tgiving and kicked Schaub in the crotch.

There are 2 things that make this seem intentional to me:

1) He feels his foot on Rodgers leg, and instead of just move forward and step off of him, he instead lifts his other leg and puts 100% of his body weight right onto Rodger's ankle.

2)  Rodgers yells something to him while shoving him away and Suh doesn't even look back or acknowledge it because he knew exactly what he was doing.

#2 is actually the most telling, in my opinion.  You can just tell by his body language and demeanor that he was guilty.. the same way a DB knows they're guilty of PI/IC

Given his reputation, he deserves the suspension... No way im giving him benefit of the doubt after his long rap sheet.

    • I just cant understand taking D line over a CB this year.  WR or Bowers would make sense to me   If the team doesnt value corners this way then maybe they should start.  I dont like to pigeon hole what we draft this hard but our secondary is a bunch of nobodies and our Dline is ok, better than ok actually.  We dont even have many snaps for a rookie unless they are a really good edge right out of the gate. A rookie DT from this class isnt beating Buckner or Stewart.
    • We see many coverage failures by all teams caused by miscommunication.  Certainly there are exceptional individuals that play CB but experience and intelligence are vital.  Flowers had size and 4.3's speed, and Jones was decent. Juju has potential but because of his size and speed he will always be successfully targeted.   We are desperate for a 4.3's stud that can cover anytime, anywhere. That was Rodgers BTW.
    • Isaiah Land he says.     Every year it happens. The Dallas Cowboys make some tough roster cuts and we all wait nervously to see if our favorite prospects make it cleanly through waivers. Most do, but every once in a while, a team will scoop up that one guy we were hoping made it to the practice squad. This year, that player is edge rusher Isaiah Land. An undrafted free agent from Florida A&M, Land dealt with injuries his final year in college, but had a remarkable season in 2021 when he finished with 19 sacks, 25.5 tackles for a loss, and three fumble recoveries. While there is a lot to be uncovered with him, he still flashed enough to draw interest from the Cowboys. Throughout the summer, the young edge rusher had impressed and it looked like the team had found another diamond in the rough. Land was fantastic during the preseason. In three games, he finished with 10 total pressures, which was the second-most of any player on any NFL team this preseason. He also finished with seven hurries on 45 pass-rushing snaps. He only recorded one official sack but finished with a pass rush win rate of 20%. Not only that, he had opposing tackles so worried about his get-off that they were regularly jumping early. There were several instances when tackles would get called for a false start.    Might as well be optimistic about  Woods and Land contributing to our resurrection.
    • Nice catch Stitch.  Year two of Steichen, our very functional TE group and Downs gives me very high expectations that we will be highly effective attacking the middle of the field. If we do add another WR to help complement the other side of the field, Pittman's ability to be even more outstanding only goes up. And I feel confident another guy will be added. Our offense should be very strong for 2024.
    • I'm hopeful Colts resign Blackmon and do this in the draft
