bengals and Ravens could both be playoff teams are they not good teams?

The Bengals and Ravens are our only good team wins this season. So if you want to argue we don't beat good teams, we've beat 2. TWO. I'm not exactly thrilled about only beating 2 good teams this year...

We should be beating the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, & Philadelphia Eagles right now. Two of those losses have been complete blow outs.

two is more than none and they should have beaten the Eagles if the Eagles don't get away with tackling TY and no flag but that is what it is at this point. I agree the Cowboys, Steelers, and Pats games are much more disturbing not so much because they lost but because they got dominated in those games.

I am not saying there isn't cause for concern, there are red flags all over the place. I just think people do need to remember they can and have beat some good teams. Still I agree there are warning signs here.

Actually, they are both pretty bad.

Excluding the AFC North which both teams have pretty much split their series so far,

the Ravens have wins over Panthers, Bucs, Falcons, Saints, Titans, Jaguars, and Dolphins

The Bengals have wins over Bucs, Falcons, Saints, Titans, Jaguars, and Texans

And to top it all off, you want to hear something really disturbing? Those TWO "good" teams that we beat this year, are probably going to fall out of the playoffs. Which would mean, we haven't beat any playoff teams this year. haha Pretty sick.

Well, I can say this:  I harbor no illusion that the Colts will be able to win their playoff game.  Based on what we have seen the last couple weeks, even months, we will be slaughtered.

My father had season tickets when the Colts first came to town, and I was about 13, just learning about football.  Growing up in a small farming community in northern Indiana, making the trip to the big city and seeing a professional team play (the opponents) was something that I cherish from my childhood memories.  Even though the Colts were horrid all those years, it was something that my dad and I could connect on.

So, I have bought playoff tickets to the game.  I am taking my Dad and the two of us will sit side by side, and relive those "glory" days in Lucas Oil Stadium (can't do it in the hoosier dome, as it no longer exists)  We will cheer for the Colts, and probably at some point "boo" Trent Richardson, and the Colts will most likely lose.  That's okay, because I will spend the day with my father, and that's all that is really important.

ill take them from you!!!! We played a crappy game. so what every team has them. We are in the playoffs. I would love to go to a playoff game. Hell I would love to afford to go to a Colts game.

So stop whining and go to the game and scream your head off for our boys in blue

Lol man I know.  I'm super stoked to go!  I was just kinda making a joke of the situation last night.

its one thing to point out flaws, I did so myself in another thread but to listen to some you'd think the Colts are on there was to 0-16.

Play like we're 0-16 when top teams come to town

Stop sugarcoating it, the team is TERRIBLE against top teams. Even struggle with sorry teams like the ones in our division. Product of a sorry division, Colts are frauds. One & Done in the playoffs

Good he survived the fight against cancer, but it's time for Pagano to be shown the door. He's not changing anything and when he does it takes him forever to change it instead the Gruden approach and straight benching the person. He's too nice of a coach, nice guys will FINISH last every time. Slow starts, sloppy play, undisciplined, & no changes being made

You all keep saying "We're winning, stop complaining" it's not about winning period, it's how you look when you win. We look sloppy even when the scoreboard says we spanked the other team.

I sat here and told all of you after the Giants game that our play wasn't gonna fly against the :flyingelvis: yet I got called a closet Pats fan, cry baby, etc etc.

What happened against NE? Bent us over and gave us the spanking of the season with a unknown RB.

But if you all wanna keep saying we're overreacting and you're fine with the team, that's your business. I just don't see how you can do it. I can't settle for mediocrity

people are acting like we just finished a 0-16 season. WE ARE PLAYOFF BOUND FOR THE 3RD STRAIGHT YEAR and in the playoffs ANYTHING CAN happen. Yes we do have a quite a few weaknesses but who says we wont right the ship. We are AFC South champions and Playoff bound. Just enjoy the moment. 20 other teams would die to get into the playoffs.

Offseason wise there are few spots were we can use an upgrade and I am sure Grigson will be busy on those moves. Pagano and Hamilton have been pretty decent these season and everyone might look at this game as %-playcalling by Pep but i think he was trying to play conservative. DC CAN USE AN UPGRADE but we'll see.

And please realize this: It doesnt matter when you lose in the Playoffs, you still lost. So saying we are going to be one and done is just stupid. Have hope people!

I just wish the darn offense would wake up and get back to normal.  I would feel a whole heck of a lot better if and when they do. That would help to mask some of the pass rush problems we have on defense.  Honestly we don't have that bad of a problem getting to the quarterback unless we are playing a really really good O Line or scheme.  Which I think there is only maybe 1 to 2 teams capable of doing that to us in the AFC.

There's really only been 3 teams that I've seen give us real problems getting to the quarterback and that's Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Denver.  Maybe you can throw Philly in there.  I like our chances to compete a whole lot better if we can get these offensive issues figured out.  It would help the defense out quite a bit.

Agree with you. If offense can pick it up we will be deadly. I just dont understand why everyones acting like we went 0-16...

Matchups.

If we are the #4 seed, we could play the Steelers or Bengals possibly and beat them at home, I feel.

Playoffs are a different season. Ravens lost 4 out of their last 5 in 2012 before going on a run when players got healthy. T.Y.Hilton and our starting OL could get healthy and we can go on a similar run.

FWIW, 2011 included, I think the worst December we ever had was 2006 when we won the Super Bowl.

Still not putting $ on us, though...:D

The offense is not going to get on track until the Colts fix the Oline issues.  The blocking yesterday was really poor.

Most of the pressure came from the right side where we had two backups playing.  I'm hoping things will get better with a rested Cherilus, and maybe switching Nixon over to Guard where he belongs.  Nixon is a much better player at the Guard position than he is at the Tackle position.   Or hopefully we may get access to Reitz at some point to play guard.

As far as the center is concerned, I could be wrong, but I suggest to continue playing Holmes.  There's a small to medium sized chance we can get this thing going in the right direction when the above things settle in.

i called the Colts pretenders in another thread and more than once this season is that really much different than saying they are frauds?

also, they have been trying new players like crazy on the o-line and its not working. Does that not count as change? Sometimes you have to play a guy because he's the best of what you have and you have to play someone. The Colts have a lack of talent problem that's more on the GM than the coach.

The coaches are not blameless in this and I have more than once said its fair to point out concerns. The problem is a lot of people are not being fair and are just ranting and saying things that are not true or calling for unrealistic fixes because they are mad the Colts got beat. This happens ANY time the Colts lose, heck it's getting to the point it happens when they win. When you start doing that it's a sign your fanbase is spoiled and is yes crying.

Yesterday's loss was bad and there were a large number of concerns to be brought up but while discussing that people do need to remember this team does do things well too and not just rant because they are ticked off. Just my two cents.

The constant changes on the Oline certainly has not helped the situation.  Playing Holmes is okay with me, but the Oline looked confused yesterday with who they were supposed to block.  They have had this issue for most of the year, it is concerning that they still do not know their blocking responsibilities at this point of the season.

Some of y'all act like we just got eliminated! calm down!

Don't you know, instead of "Bring the noise" our motto after a loss is doom and gloom?  I thought everybody knew that.  We lose a game and yes, our season is over it's that simple.  Win or go home lol... But what is great about that everyone looks at it with the perspective a new game=new season.  So in reality the season is over, until about gametime next Sunday, then we're gonna beat down the Titans haha

All kidding aside, you can only take about 10% of fans on here seriously.  I'm not even part of the 10% at times, but I have a much more level head than most people.

I think we could beat San Diego at Lucas Oil, but if we draw Pittsburgh I am not too confident in that one.

I think Pitt is too talented at QB, RB, TE and the WR positions. Not to mention how good they blocked all of

our pressures the last time out. I'd be more confident if we were playing better ball on the offensive side

of things right now.

San Diego is operating right now purely off Phillip Rivers and Antonio Gates. They have no running game,

and their defense is mediocre. We still would have to play our A game to pull it out though.[/quote

You just described the Colts too!

We are either playing Steelers Ravens Bengals Chargers or Texans I think we can play well with either

Ravens, Bengals, Texans yes.  Chargers, Steelers no.  It might be the past(granted the Steelers destroyed us this season), but for some reason the Chargers and Steelers own the Colts in the playoffs.

I've seen you on this board for a long time and it sickens me that people are calling you a Pats fan, just for stating the truth.  Some might say we are crybabies, but just like you, I expected a young team to progress, not get worse.  Most of my teams in other sports have no shot at a championship, so sorry if I expect more from the team that has won one in my lifetime or atleast one I can remember(I was 4 in 1987 when IU won the championship).

I don't even know where to begin with this sentence but Ill give it a shot:

Judging by the grammar of you all I can tell most of you are not to smart

learn the differences between than/then, your/you're and their/there/they're and then maybe you can talk about another person's grammar. ;)

THIS...this is the problem.  It's one thing to be upset about the way the team played, or to want certain players to perform better, coaches to gameplan better etc.  However, calling for firings, cuts etc after every loss is ridiculous.

Everything in your post is pure speculation.  Unless you've ever been to practices, team meetings, gameplanning sessions etc etc etc then you have NO idea how nice or mean Pagano is.  All any of us see is what happens in front of the camera.  But you want the man fired for things you have absolutely no idea about.

By the way, Gruden is a *.  He's a hothead that reacts emotionally and often does and says things in the heat of the moment that are plain ridiculous.  I'll take a coach that deliberates and considers all options instead of making rash, over-reactionary decisions.

One final thing...nice guys always finish last?  Not even remotely true.  Tony Dungy immediately comes to mind.
