Is that why you don't watch the games?

Actually, it's pretty ironic that you'd say that, because you spend a significant amount of time on this board complaining about how terrible the players and coaches are. If the team is 0-15 and someone wants to go see their team play, they should go see their team play.

Your attitude is awful, and is the reason why some teams look in the stands and see more visiting jerseys than home jerseys. The difference is that those are usually bad teams who are eliminated and haven't been in the playoffs in half a decade, or more. Unlike the Colts.

And if people followed your advice and stayed home from the playoffs, they'd have missed one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history last season.

So again, this crap is crap. If you guys want to go see your team play, go, and have fun, win, lose or draw. Don't listen to spoiled fans who can't handle not having everything go their way all the time.

I agree. I'm upset for sure and don't think we will do much in the playoffs but if I had tickets you bet I'd be goin!! I'd love to see my team play no matter what I still have never been to a colts game :(

They said the same thing in '06 too. I'm not saying we are a shoe in for the Super Bowl, but anything can happen. Until we are eliminated, I will believe.

Either most people are dumb, too young, or don't pay attention because the least likely team seems to win year in and year out.

All you have to do is get in the dance.

The NFL is a weird monster. Hasn't it been 10 years since the same team won 2 Lombardis in a row?

Superman.....

This team is getting worse by the week...       It is undeniable.      If I had tix for the games I would go.

but  It is VERY understandable to be disappointed with this team right now.       They are terrible .   And there are NO signs of it turning around.       I mean it is what it is ..   The staff has "stuck" to their guns and "did what they do" ..

It's a recipe for defeat.       NOW Moncrief gets a BIG role....    NOW HERRON is expected to make a huge impact ...

This staff just way outdated IMO.      They are SO slow to adapt.

IDK..?      BUT this team is in big trouble...         They have NO identity.      NOT any..

Oh well...      Go Colts....

we play the worst  afc  conf in nfl . automatic 4 too 6 wins every year.  , 75% chance every year win a playoff spot.  win in the playoffs 15%  chance the way this team is playing.

Take away our five wins against AFC South opponents and this is a 5-5 .500 team.  I believe you could probably say the same for last year as well.

We would play at LOS this time

And?  Because we did so well against good QBs at home.  There are many holes on this team, I am not one of the fire Pagano guys, I think he has done a good job considering our talent level as a team.

To be honest who would have thought after 2-14 and gutting the entire roster we would have made the playoffs three times and won two division titles.  Sure we are not a SB contender, but Rome wasnt built in a day.  We beat the teams we should and aren't to the point of beating the ones we shouldn't yet.  They will get there.

This team is NOT CLOSE to the 06 team...     NO Freeney, Mathis, Sanders, Bethea, Jax, Hayden....      D won that SB......

This D won't win us a prize at the local fair.

And btw, I show my colts gear all year round. And have a colts tattoo.

Would you at least agree, that todays game was torture to watch?

Umm, no, I would not. Torture was 2011. It wasn't a fun game to watch, but it was mostly meaningless for us. I had a feeling when we ran the ball three times in a row on the first drive that we weren't going to really bring it. The Cowboys played for their playoff lives, knowing the last thing they wanted was to be on the road in Week 17, again trying to get into the playoffs on the last day of the season. Not a good game at all, but not tortured...

And when the Colts host a playoff game in two weeks, it won't look like today's game did.

If you don't want to spend your hard-earned money on traveling to a game that you don't think the team can win, that's your choice. I think going to a game is about the experience, not just being there for a win, but it's your money, not mine. But even still, that's better than pitching a fit because your team took a bad loss.

By the way, my comments in previous posts are absolutely NOT directed at you, in any way.

I'm not believing what I'm actually about to say, but I would rather lose our first round playoff game in a close one just so I don't have to watch the Pats or Broncos beat us by 40+.

i guess the only bright spot would be improving our draft position next year... Oh Well!

Seriously? Cheer for another team then! Colts don't need your support!

I can't stomach another humilating playoff elimination at the hands of the Patriots again.  Or the Steelers for that matter. There is only so many times you can sit and watch your gazelle get eaten up alive by a lion.

To the bolded, that's all I'm saying.

I think this team has a low ceiling. I watch them play every week and hope that they win, and I will continue to do that until their season is over, but I agree that the odds are incredibly long for this team's chances at a deep playoff run. But I wasn't aware that being a fan was contingent on how deep your team goes in the playoffs.

And everyone is a fan for different reasons. Not claiming my fandom is better than anyone else's. I'm in SoCal; I'm not going to any games. But I'm also not suggesting that anyone else decide not to go to the games and have a good time, regardless of the outcome.

Last thing, I went to a Raider game with a bunch of friends earlier this year. They go every year, catch a plane to Oakland, stay for the weekend, and have a blast. And they haven't been to a win in six years. They lost to the Cardinals the week we went. But we tailgated, hung out, talked to a bunch of friends, had a good time, watched them get beat... The guys were disappointed, but still enjoyed the experience. Now, Colts fans have different expectations than Raider fans. But if they can have a good time at a Raider game -- after the head coach was fired two games into the season, after they've missed the playoffs for a decade straight, and despite all the nonsense they've had to put up with -- then surely a Colts fan can have a good time at a home playoff game, no matter the outcome. Saying things like "you shouldn't go, they're not going to win, spare yourself the disappointment" is just pathetic. Sorry, it is.

This is the least excited i've felt about a Colts playoff team ever. I had more hope going into the 2006 playoffs before our miracle run...at least we knew we were getting Bob back. But I expect virtually nothing from this Colts team right now. So disappointed and embarrassed.

This

I felt like we were a true contender before this season began. Now I'll just be happy if we sneak out a win on wildcard weekend.

this team is a sorry excuse I feel bad for luck this team will never be a contender if they don't fix these issues I don't blame luck for his play today I blame the o-line cause his second pick was there fault.

I have been a Colts fan for 30 years. Was a season ticket holder for 20. I understand how you feel. But I for one can't handle watching this Colts team take a beating by the Pats in the playoffs again!

We can sip some apple juice & play Grand Theft Auto 5 online if you'd like when the :colts: are playing their playoff game lol

I would love to see this colts team go deep into the playoffs. Whether you think that is a stretch or not, does not bother me in the least. As i will not get to see any of the playoffs due my enlistment in the army is shipping me out in a few days. Nevertheless, I will be holding out that these colts will have some playoff success.

Good luck and thank you for your service.

Thank you sir, I can't help but notice a lot of gloom in these recent threads. I understand the colts haven't played beautifully the past few weeks but this isn't cheerleading. regardless if they win by 1 point or 50 and regular season or playoffs. they have playmakers in place in Luck and Hilton(when healthy). I guess it may just be me coming from the Cleveland area an dealing with that football team, you got to appreciate what you have.

It was on the road, man. Our D shut down the Bengals (though without A.J.Green) and limited the Ravens to 13 pts at home. Our D ALWAYS gets a lift playing at home against teams in the same boat as us. I feel teams of the AFC North and the Chargers are no different compared to us, talent level wise, all of them have holes and odds are, we can exploit them at home.

Take care of the home game and then play with house money from that point onwards. Flacco and the Ravens did not go into the 2012 playoffs thinking they lost 4 out of 5 and might have to play Peyton and Brady on the road. They took care of the Colts first in their wild card game, got a few breaks vs Peyton on the road and beat Brady on the road and the rest is history.

That ravens team was a lot better than this team

    • I don't see any scenario where they are giving up next year's R1 pick. It would be an opportunistic trade up that they can likely spread over this draft and next draft.   The MOST we have seen Ballard additionally give up in trade-ups is a mid-late R5 pick. Tyquan, JT, Cross.    For him to give up even a Day 2 pick would be out of character. So it would have to be quite the opportunity.
    • So you would take Bowers over the top corner and/or edge or do you mean if they were equal value? Bowers looks good on tape but his size scares me a little for a team that is intent on running the ball. I think we have a lot of flash TE's on this roster already that need some time to develop with Richardson. You look at the TE room and I do some talent there but need time. I look at the corner and edge room and I  go meh!!
    • Free agency tells you a lot where a team is going in the draft. They really see the need for a true rush end and even corner
    • They wont go by that.  All of the above will be ranked on list together and it wont necessarily be by position
    • Turner will not fall to us. He will be gone early . Everyone is expecting these wrs to fly off the board. Harbaugh builds in the trenches. I wouldn't shocked if he went D line early. Look at San Fran and Michigan. Power football and build in the trenches. This is a wr stacked draft and DE's are a luxury in this draft. U better get one early. Would  I trade up to get  a guy like Turner and or insert name if I believed he could be our next Freeney? U bet I would. Ballard has used the approach of trading back and hoping that the DE he drafts will become that guy and it hasn't turned out well for the Colts. To me it is time to target and go after that guy and if it means giving up a #1 then so be it. IF you go after a guy like Turner and he becomes that guy, you will not miss next year's 1st pick.  I do have a lot of faith in Richardson and  I feel if he stays healthy, he will be a superstar. So if Richardson comes in and lights it up and you have Turner, you are probably picking in the early 20's next year. So would i give up our #15 and next years #20 for a guy like Turner? For sure. IF Richardson bombs out and we finish with a top 5 pick, so be it. Houston took a gamble going for Anderson at 3 and how does that look now? They gave up their 1st this year which is in the 20's. I will take that every day. I actually don't think our 15 and next years 1st rounder would be enough to move up to get a guy like Turner. I think a GM say in the top 8 would project next years pick to be in the 20's based on what they feel would transpire with Richardson as our guy. Just my thoughts
