The Playoffs are set

I like the 4 in the playoff, and I like that they put Baylor ahead of TCU. Really interesting matchups. The long wait I think helps FSU be more prepared for that Oregon offense.

No more soft Pac-12 football for Oregon. I hope FSU kicks the sht out of them. I was really hoping they would match my Buckeyes against them, but it is what it is. Its big boy football now for Oregon.

Urban Meyer is the last chance for the Big Ten to show the country they belong. If it is one sided for Alabama, the SEC will be viewed even more favorably and the Big Ten looked down upon more.

I think they will hang around with Bama, but I'm not quite sure they will win. The secondary still isn't good, and if they can't get pressure with their front-7, that backend will get picked on all day. However, this isn't the same Bama team from 12' or 09' either. I think Urban will have them ready to go, but they still have to execute. All in all, to be in this position with a 3rd string QB is impressive. I don't think the other 3 teams could have done what State has done this year if they were put into the same situation.

This years bowl games should be pretty good...

FSU vs Bama is what I see. I see Bama just imposung their will on Ohio St. And I dont think Oregon will be able to stop Florida States run game behind a very big, physical offensive line. Thats gonna be their best defense. Just pound the ball and force Oregon to stop it, meanwhile you're keeping that Ducks offense off the field and contrlling the clock. I think Florida St takes care of business.

TY, do you think that will swing the result in anyway? At first they made it sound like it was Mariota.  (of course it was just a news tease, so what do you expect right?).  He does seem to be pretty important but I haven't follow Oregon much to know what their possible replacements have going for them.  Thanks for the info TY!

Oregon has some decent back-ups at CB, but none to this guys level. Before this injury he was predicted a sure fire first round draft pick. This could impact the game, as Fla State has an All-American WR, and ifo could at least contain him enough. I don't know if the backups can cover that guy. But I do know this..There is no one on Fla State that will stop Oregon's WR's and TE, and the TE is a back up as well, but he's as good as any TE playing in college right now (his name is Stanford).

What Fla St has to worry about is not only Mariota, but one of the best "unknown" RB's in the nation in Royce Freeman...a 6'1" 230 lb bulldozer that runs a 4.4-4.5 40, with shiftiness and power. Previously, they had smaller backs like La Michael James, Kenyon Barner, De'Anthony Thomas...Not this year...Freeman will bowl you over, then out race you to the end zone..and then throw in a bit of wr/rb Byron Marshall. who got 100 yards last year as starting RB, then moved to WR cause of Freeman and still got lots of yards. The other WR, is true freshman Charles Nelson, who is a beast on returns and is hard to take down, kinda like De'anthony. Their 3rd wide receiver not only has great hands, but you might see him at the 2016 Olympics. He is the 110 m NCAA hurdles champion, who also can catch and run good routes. HIs name is Devon Allen 6'1 185...

Oregon is going to outscore Fla State...Fla State has some weapons, but not the pure team speed that the Ducks possess. Its going to be an interesting game.

It seems simply based on play all season that any of the other 3 teams would be favored against Fla St.  I am sure FS fans would disagree, but I watched about 7 or 8 of their games and they really played poorly and then used their NFL caliber QB to overwhelm them at the end to win.  These Ducks seems like they are full of NFL players on both sides of the ball.

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated.
