Seattle (+1) @ SF (11-27-14)

NBC....8:30 EST 50 degrees and dry

'World War I' - Bitter rivals...over/under 40..extremely low...

QB Russell Wilson, RB Marshawn Lynch - probabale... Center Max Unger - probably out

LB Navarro Bowman out all season (but now practicing) will not yet be back..

Hard feelings here as seattle won 2 of 3 to take the NFC last year

Seattle and SF are both 74 chasing Arizona (9-2)..and they meet against Dec. 14 in Seattle.

Arizona then ends the season with games with Seattle and SF.

One point is an even game obviously....take the over on defensive scores

To me, the strength of the 49ers is running and clock management, which negates to an extent the pass defense edge of the Seahawks. Plus, if the Seahawks did not have OL issues, I would take them.

I think the 49ers win a close one 20-17

49ers main strength is their defense. That is the only reason they are winning close games.

Gore had a drought of failing to rush over 100 yards until they came to the Superdome, and even in that game, their offense fiddled. Defense was the reason they won it. Picked off Eli 5 times, and when they played the Eagles, those turnovers turned the game around.

SF leads the league in interceptions.

Whoever wins this game is the wildcard from the West. I do not think the Seahawks will be denied the playoffs.

Kap just seems to be running around trying to ad-lib plays..

Gonna be hard to rally that way

It actually looks to me like he's trying to do the opposite. He looks like he's trying to run scripted plays, make reads, etc...which he has sucked at tonight. If they would just go back to the read option and the misdirection (not that throwback play...that's so going to get picked off if they run that 1 to many times) they would come back.

funny how we can see a game so differently....I see him coming off his first read every time..watch his head.

He's doing what college QBs do...one read and then adlib

Kaep looks like RG3 out there.  Both have to wind up like Juan Marichal to throw  (Youngsters should google and you tube that name)

He's thrown it right to Sherman twice,  His terrible play is making Sherman look like an non-overrated CB.

Seriously, they were thrown right into his chest smh.

The Niners keep making the same mistake each season.  They have no wide receiver speed, and the Seahawks just sit on top of these dudes with these zones all day long. Plus Kapernick being a sub par to average quarterback doesn't help either.

I haven't been on the Kaep hatewagon. Just because a guy isn't Peyton Manning, it doesn't mean he worthless. Kaep is a tough young quarterback who has won a ton of games like this that traditional quarterbacks have lost...by a bunch.

But he was BAD tonight.

Heck the Seahawks look like they were just bored, not just Sherman lol! It's like they were amped for the big opener and have been asleep until crunch time.

That was probably the best game Sherman had all year. He definitely owned the 49ers tonight

    • I can too. And that will tell us everything we need to know about how the view him. It will tell us their feelings on the tight end room, and what direction they pick from there will tell us even more.    but if they take him at 15, we won’t know much about what might have happened, as they will be landing someone they had rated highly and fell to them.
    • Glad that’s over…    if I wanted to argue about it, I would have responded far more in depth than pointing out how you were attempting to gaslight me. I did not. Meaning I was ending my part of whatever the argument was. You “putting a finality to it” and then listing bullet points tells me it was the argument you wanted all along, which makes sense why you brought Grigson up in the first place. Bait, hook, gaslight. Almost got me buddy. You are a funny guy, Doug
    • Putting a finality on an argument you want to have.   There is a theory that Ballard won't draft a OL high because ARs injuries were not caused by a poor oline.  I felt it important to note that since Luck's major injuries were also not caused by his oline, Ballard could still want to improve it like he did in 2018 simply because AR is The Franchise. And its important to point that out because there has been a running (false) narrative for about 9 years that Luck's oline was the (main) reason for his injuries that kept him out of games.  The (false) narrative is based upon, IMO, a detest of Grigson, and not reality about the facts (or strong rumors) behind the kidney laceration and snowboarding shoulder. Therefore, mentioning Grigson and the (false) narrative was germain to the point about Ballard possibly drafting Oline high this draft to protect AR. Mentioning Grigson shouldn't trigger a CB vs RG discussion, unless people reading it are gaslighted by their own reading lens.
    • That is a very inaccurate description of what happened.  At this point it’s history and doesn’t need to be revisited but I will say Chloe adds value to this board and should be and is by most encouraged to post, even if people don’t always agree with her.
    • My response was in regards to another posted suggesting that the Colts need to get the pick right when it comes to picking a WR. I agree with you .
