Do you even watch football he's been solid he hasn't been a game changer but most PR's have made more mistakes than him he get positive yards every kick . He has been the definition of solid .

I probly watched more football that u have which is Why my standard of play seem to be higher. I am totally unimpressed with What he have recieved from Whalen and How many games have you watched and not noticed that's 5-6 bone headed return plays by whalen in 9 games is to much....

I agree that TY should not be returning anything. But Moncrief should get a shot. Damn with the injury excuse this is football and I think Donte would be a great return specialist this season and have a bigger role on offense next season just like TY did...

Even with that said the most concern I have in the return game is not turning the ball over. Just like one poster said 90% of balls are not returned.

Boo hoo

Ha, and you're the only one who thinks the amount of injured starting players has no relevance to a team being able to win.

An observation is valid when it's true and backed up by facts. No matter if you want to call it crying or not, doesn't change it.

And where exactly did I say it has no bearing on winning? Fact is, many other teams have had excellent starters go down...it's the nfl.

That's exactly what you insinuate when you say cry about. When we bring up we have 4, 5, 6+ starters on IR and 12+ total. We have a right to point out the facts that it is affecting the team. Ya teams have stars go down all the time, but not as much as the Colts as of late.

And you want to come out of nowhere and say boo hoo and cry about, when nobody is doing that. You're the kind of guy that sits there and constantly asks, U mad bro?

Go back to your bridge.

No, that's not what I was insinuating and for you to make that jump is simply ridiculous. And let's face it, all those guys going down the last couple yrs weren't stars.

I have over 9k posts and I can guarantee that not one of them has contained the phrase "u mad bro. But if you wanna get your panties in bunch over nothing, feel free.

You and your paranoia about injuries.....

If guys like Antonio Brown can return, so can Moncrief.

You can't just stick a guy back to return punts because he is fast. Moncrief has NO experience returning kicks. He looked bad on Kick Offs. I am all for an upgrade over Griff but a PR is a real position not everyone can do it.

If we sign someone I hope it isn't trying to sneak Quarles to the PS I got a feeling about that guy What about Holmes he can't even dress when the O Line is all banged up.

I don't see us letting Dewey go he actually contributes to the team. Reality is we probably live with Griff as our PR and just see the open field he can't get to.

Since you watch so much football name a few returns who haven't made bone head plays fumbled or lost yards or been stopped on KR inside the 20 multiple times .

Why is it that Luck makes boneheaded plays and it's excused by the vast majority of the forum because he is young and still learning.

Jonatthon Harrison makes some boneheaded plays and it's excused by the vast majority of the forum because he is young and still learning.

But Griff Whalen, who has never returned kicks or punts in college or the NFL (until a few times last year and becoming the full time returner this year) gets crucified when he makes a few boneheaded plays.  Nope he's not the fastest guy on the team, maybe not even in the top 10 but he's plenty fast for a returner, he usually does a great job of securing the ball and he's still learning the position.

Then what was your point? You said if guys like Antonio Brown can return punts so can Moncrief? Which isn't true.

Brown had over 90 punt returns in college 3tds. and well over 100 KO returns.

You can't throw someone back there that isn't a returner just because they are big and fast.  Moncrief has O experience in returning the ball anyone who watched him try to return kick offs could see easily see this. He never handled returns in college.

Are you advocating for TY to be back there? He is the only upgrade currently on our roster with the exception of maybe Purifoy who looked equally dangerous for both teams in the preseason.

Go back and follow the thread. They guy I responded to said he didn't want moncrief returning kicks because he feared injury. If valuable guys like brown, Patrick Peterson, etc can return kicks so can moncrief. That was my point.

My final thought on this is yes this is the NFL and many teams have key injuries every year but very rarely do you see a team place 18 players on IR. I don't care who you are starter or not, when you have that many injuries it becomes very hard to win. Basic math 53-18=35player active at the end of the year and 18 that was not with the team in training camp, oh and if you didn't know 18 players on IR is an NFL record for injuries. Sure its the NFL and every team has injuries, but the number of injuries a team has plays a huge part of the strength of every NFL team. Fact is in 2013 we had more injured players then any other team and while they weren't all star players we are talking about 18 players 9 players away from half of the 53. Your exact words were "all those guys going down the last couple yrs weren't stars". Then you said "and you really though without the T at the end of thought was I which I think you meant I was referring to reggie and dwayne? I'm sorry for quoting you word for word but fact is it's not about what I thought but what you wrote BRO. And you tell me not to talk about dumb!!
