So who should get more playing time?

Yeah Moncrief obviously. Other than that I would go with Boom on Offense, and Sergio Brown and Newsome on defense. I would say Purifoy too just to see what he's got. Purifoy at one time was considered a high round pick so I'm hoping he turns into a solid corner.

Moncrief and Whalen both should be ahead of Nicks on the depth chart. Mcnary should get Jackson's snaps on passing downs. Jackson is just too slow to cover anyone, he's a zone LB trying to play man coverage.

We bring him because he was "good" in cover and we always knew that he was a liability stopping the run, but Mcnary hasn't played well, i think we should give Whalen more 3rd down snaps he is always on the same page with Luck so meanwhile they are double covering Wayne he should get a lot of firsts downs.

I would like to see Studebaker get more snaps with Walden being out.  His coverage isn't great but he is stout against the run.

I would like to see Landry take over for Brown this week to help shore up the run defense a bit more this week.  Or, if the team is not comfortable with Landry being off a month then I'd like to see McDonald see the field on more than ST.

Andrew Jackson, I don't really care if he comes in for DQ or Freeman.  D. Jackson is a good ILB between the hashes and from the LOS to 12 yards out but beyond that his foot speed becomes a problem. Freeman is obviously not 100% because he has played below average since returning.

Lastly, I'd like to see Homes get more snaps just so we can see what is going on with him.

I'd like to see Holmes in at RG actually

I'd like to see Dan Herron get more touches (Im expecting the defense can keep this game close so Boom can have more)

I'd like to see Whalen and Moncrief get more snaps on offense

I'd like to see anyone get snaps that can get UNDERNEATH a D Linemans pads and drive them off the ball.....Bend them knees fellas, hook your fingers inside the shoulder pads and drive that D Lineman off the ball!

I want to see Boom Boom get some more snaps. Can he pass protect and can he get into some pass routes? I thought that we missed TR last week and Bradshaw carrying the load makes me nervous about his health.

I also want to see more of Newsome

Boom can't pass block, but he can run & catch

The thing I love about Studebaker is his intensity an non stop motor. The guy is always flying around the field to get to the ball! Newsome is gunna be pretty darn good in a few years, he has shown glimpses of some Mathis like ability. Zach Kerr and Montori Hughes need more time in there, they both really stuff up those holes. And Jack Doyle doesn't get near the credit he deserves

Calm down now, buckaroo. Griff should not be ahead of Nicks. I agree though about DQ's speed.

    • I got mad the night they took Dorsett and I still get mad when I think about it.  Look at all the good players he passed on for him.  I wanted Xavier Rhodes in that draft and they could have had him.  No single first round draft pick upsets me as much as Phillip freaking Dorsett.
    • Grigson didn’t hit on another high draft pick until Ryan Kelly after Hilton.  Just goes to speak about how good Andrew Luck was that those teams were as good as they were until Luck literally feel apart from carrying the team on his shoulders.
    • Irsay or no other pro-sports owner is strapped for cash.  Look at the lifestyles they live.  These guys are swimming in money Scrooge McDuck style.  They like to get you to think that they are so that they have to pay for less things like the a new stadium and give them friendly tax breaks but they aren’t.  These guys are super rich even the small market teams like the Colts.  If you want to think they are strapped for cash go a head but we are going to agree to disagree.
    • I agree. I cannot recall who else he drafted in 2015 but I could not understand why he drafted the WR out of Miami at #29 that year.
    • If I may….    I’ll share some information that I’ve had for about 4 months.   It may or may not surprise you.  This is what I tried to send you the other night but somehow screwed up.      These are the big signing bonuses the Colts have given out over the years when the players 2nd contract came around:  this is from Spotrac.    Nelson:   $31m Leonard:  $20m Smith:      $15m Taylor:      $10.24m Stewart:    $5m      BUT…..    I also found this….   *** When Ballard signed Buckner to 4/84 his SB was 0. *** When Ballard signed Kelly to 4/50 his signing bonus was 0. *** When Ballard signed Moore to 4/33 his signing bonus was 0.  *** When Ballard signed MAC to 3/19 his SB was 0.    To be clear, no agent lets their client sign a deal like this out of the goodness of their heart to help the team.  I think it stands to reason they get something in return.  And I think it’s a higher amount of guaranteed money.  That’s money the player would get even if the team cut the player before the contract was done.   Guaranteeing a higher percentage of money doesn’t cost the Colts anything if the team is confident the player will be in the roster for the life of the contract.    I view this as a sign of a small market team.   The Colts wanted to do this.  It’s to their advantage.  I’m not blaming the Colts for doing this, I think it’s smart business.  But I think it’s a sign that from time to time, Irsay needs a little help so he doesn’t have to write a large check.     This is my view.   I welcome input from all.    @w87r   @Superman  @GoColts8818
