but alas, no proof. Enjoy the tin foil hat though

I have given you proof . Are you intelligent enough to discern what's really happening is the question.

when 2 QB brothers  on 3 separate teams go to 5 super bowls in 8 years. That's enough proof for an intelligent person to understand pro sports is just staged entertainment and the games aren't naturally played out.

I think you need a dictionary. That isnt proof of anything . Where are the former broke players waiting to cash the enormous check TMZ would write then for proof of teams and players throwing games?

The fact that you think these players are throwing games lets me know you've never played sports seriously at any level.

where did I say 'throwing games '?

they're putting on a show for you they were hired to do. LOL at saying since you played sports you know its not happening.

I'm a man and played sports too. That has nothing to with this what so ever. It just means your discernment and association skills are weak and need tuning.

you having played sports doesn't have crap to do with how a multibillion dollar business can put on a show with great athletes.

Or they could be 2 good QBs who by dint of being brothers share good genes for playing the position, like almost as if they had an ancestor who'd also achieved a fair amount of success at said position.....

I hear Olivia threw a mean spiral.

Evidence and proof are different things.

And of course, what he's calling "proof" isn't even evidence. It's just random comments that have nothing to do with the actual topic.

As always, when stuff like this comes up, the bottom line is that you don't get to make claims and then balk when people ask you to prove those claims. I mean, you can, but you won't be taken seriously.

Lol. You're saying everything is set up. That would include players trying to throw games. You do know the emotion these players have for the game they're playing, right?

I can agree to some of the things that guy is saying. The Ravens had a ridiculous amount of refs in their pockets their entire superbowl run. Same as the Steelers back when the bus retired. It was a Lil shady to me. The Seahawks got away with an amazing amount of muggery and shutdown an offense that scored non stop.

Idk any connection with the Seahawks but the Ravens and Lewis retiring was curious.

Wow,  that is some pretty scary stuff you've bought into.    You actually agree with some of the paranoid delusional stuff that Ram29Jackson is throwing out here?!?    That alone should scare the stuff out of you!    Seriously!

I would never want a post like that to remain public.    I'd rather say I got drunk and didn't know what I was doing.    And I don't even drink!

Not sure where this came from......   I hope you can go back to hiding it.....

Miami is more likely. I trust their defense and QB more. Not that Tannehill is a world beater but he's better than Buffalo and the Jets QBs combined. Plus they've already beat NE once.

Yeah, Miami is more the team that is threat with a win over the pats but they usually find a way to falter at the end. We get them up here in December so that should be fun.

I just gave you a description of what to look for.

are you actually going to try or just ignore it like you have for the last 20 years ?

until you acknowledge that the impossible keeps happening,it may be well hard for you to see.

as far as insults are concerned, you are insulting me  by telling me I don't what I am talking about. I know beyond any shadow of doubt that I am right.

I'm sorry I called you a fool but like me, you will realize you were foolish not to see it this whole time. I am not wrong, I know I am right. I know I am right.

So a missed tackle or a dropped pass is an indicator of a fix? You have to do better than that.

What is the impossible that keeps happening exactly?

Lol. It's ok. I'm not agreeing with what he said bit his concept. There were a LOT of people saying the Ravens SB run had some shady business to it. After the Patriots game I started scratching my head. They got a few to many calls going their way to be coincidental it seemed.

If that were the case, Marino would have a ring

The Ravens dominated the Pats. If there was any game that was shady it was the Denver game with the blown coverage at the end.

The biggest one I remember was the Crabtree would be td. Ref was like 5 ft away and the Ravens defender hits him before the ball arrives and Helmet to helmet. I couldn't figure out how that wasn't called.

The way I think of refereeing decisions is very similar to poker bad beats... you always remember the time the exception happens but never when the rule does. Not saying I don't have issues with the standard of refereeing in the NFL but fixed? Not in my opinion. Just in need of making it a professional position.

Well it kind of is a professional position. They are held accountable for their decisions. I can agree with most of the refs decisions but during that run they had some amazing calls.

But they did get unfortunate with the fumble that went the Colts way. But there were a few that went their way too. Fixing of games is a serious accusation, especially if it's done by the league itself. So no is not likely at all, but there are some things that happen that make people wonder. This has been going on since SB III. The nfl would not exist as it does today without namath winning that game and legitimizing the AFL. The merger may not have happened and the AFL may have went away. I think the nfl as it stands would have eventually evolved but it would have not have nakedness as fast as it did.

I think that's the biggest conspiracy that is about the nfl. Even the some of the players thought something was up, like why unitas didn't play til the end of the game when he was perfectly healthy.

But that's the great thing about most conspiracy theories, cannot be proven true or false.

I don't think you would be a sports fan if you didn't wonder at some point, that's human nature.

When I say professional I mean as in it's their full time job and their sole working focus.

Small correction regarding what you said about conspiracy theories... some can and have been proven to be true. But you're right when saying proving them false is pretty hard, the old proving a negative game.

I doubt NE loses the AFC East throne, it's just that Miami is slightly less inept than the other two teams. Still, I highly doubt they'll sweep the Pats and win that division - especially with still having to go in to Foxborough.

As you said, Miami has a tendency to find ways to putter out. Ditto on the Bills and Jets, although the Jets puttered out before the season even began lol. "Geno Smith is our quarterback."  Yeah, good luck with that guys. Great management.

I'd ask our visiting fan this........   if football is fake,  why do you spend any time being a fan of the game?   Would seem like a waste of your time if the fix is in everywhere....

you'll be sorry when you realize I'm right. That will happen.

its like a new toy, I still like the aesthetics of football and now its interesting to see what theyre up to and how they do it.

I am getting picks right that no one else is picking based on paying better attention to the storylines and what the media pushes more.

the fact is I don't lie to myself anymore. You constantly see ref calls you don't like and still keep blaming it on odds and chance and human error. You see a so called fantastic pass and ignore that initial  reaction as to why it looked like those 2 defenders just stood there and didn't react even if just for a moment. I don't brainwash myself with some stupid  zone-coverage excuse.

I don't blindly accept 4 rookie QBs making it to the playoffs in the same year. The league cant be that poor so that much inexperience does that well. It just becomes real stupid once your maturity and wisdom grows. The tv sports demographic is 18 to 35 because obviously once you get older you realize the silly repetitiveness  of what you are watching.

don't bother me with the other political  crap or what ever. I could care less about those things. I know I'm right about this and you just refuse to be an adult and  actually observe anything.

I always shake my head and marvel when the Paranoid Conspiracy Guy comes out of the closet to share his special brand of genius and insight.

Wow,  but it is a sight to behold!

On my Stanford site,  there's a Conspiracy Guy who thinks the Bush family brought down the twin towers with battle field nuclear bombs bought from Russia...

He thinks no one was killed at Sandy Hook elementary school.   All staged with actors so the government can take your guns....

And he thinks Ebola is fake as well.   Though I haven't quite figured out why he thinks that?

Bottom line,  there's just no explaining Conspiracy Guys......   you can reason with them.   You can't use logic.    And they're oblivious to facts.

They believe what they believe.    They know what they know.    And they think what they believe is obvious and they can't understand why we don't agree with them.

I'd ask our visiting fan this........   if football is fake,  why do you spend any time being a fan of the game?   Would seem like a waste of your time if the fix is in everywhere....

(I hope I'm not sorry I asked.....   and apologies for the thread drift....)

NP- interesting post and a good one....... a good reminder now and then ;)

1.  Denver

2.  Indianapolis

3.  Bengals

4.  New England

5.  Chargers

6.  Steeler or Ravens (too close to tell)

I am shocked nobody has the Steelers in their predicitions after the beatdown they just gave to us.  We have the same record folks.

I think their a threat although past games mean zilch. Watch how they (any team) plays from here on as 8 game mid marks has always been "now we separate the men from the boys" :)

I honestly expect some tough football from here on. Never know- who thought the Steelers would come on in their SB run (the Seattle one)

I don't think NE has much a shot but you put some juice in the tank and you never know.

All I can say is the hat you wear is on soooo tight that it has cut off the blood flow to your head.

Go on and keep believing what you believe.    I won't waste a minute of anyone's time trying to convince you otherwise.

But you did a terrible job of explaining why you pay attention to a game you think is fixed.      Pitiful.

Yeah I'm sure these guys run around beating the tar out of each other, with potentially fatal or life crippling injuries, just to put on a show. This isn't WWE.

When people stand there, 10 yards off the receiver, without reacting, it's because they're fools and don't know what to do. Football players in general have a ton of talent, but not exactly the most processing power in the world upstairs. Some do, many don't. Often times players can instinctively react even if they're night the brightest bulbs in the drawer, but sometimes they just get that deer in the headlights look.

That being said, true stupidity lies in the coaches telling players to give such a huge cushion in the first place. It's a horrible defensive plan. You're almost always better off man to man and/or doubling great players while having less people up front instead of letting receivers run free. The exception being if the opposing QB is a Geno Smith type who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and no clue what's around him or down field. Just bring the house every down and rack up the sacks.
