One guy who writes for NFL.com has the ability to sway a lot of voters.  It's not an official list, but there is a direct correlation between who gets to write for NFL/ESPN/etc. and what the public perceives.

In some ways I don't like to see Vontae getting this coverage -- he definitely deserves it, but I really hope that he (and the rest of our team) stay humble through success.  Sometimes all these players need is the media hype and attention to become sidetracked with the job at hand.

I am glad we are getting consideration and such, but we have only played 7 games.  9+ are left.  If we give up big plays next week and so on we may not get where we need to be.

 

We need to prepare each week for the next opponent, and play like every game is the Super Bowl.  Continue to work on all three phases of the game like there was no tomorrow.

 

Accolades are for the end of the year IMO.  Lets think Super Bowl Instead of Pro Bowl.

If Vontae does not make the Pro Bowl and ALL PRO this year then the NFL needs to just get rid of both categories, because they would become meaningless.

Its nice to see Vontae FINALLY getting some love, He was really good last year but this year he's the best corner in the NFL, and I love what they said about Patty Mac LOL.

I hope so.  You never know, but he seems like he is humble and keeps to himself.  I just hope he doesn't start acting like a fool if he starts getting put in the spotlight by the media.  I think we've got a strong enough locker room that will prevent that from happening, but you never know.
