Nothing about this particular instance, but I like how the staff has been changing and improving this year. Last year they refused to bench Satele, this year they throw in an undrafted rookie. They are way more aggressive in their calls, in game and behind the scenes. For the most part it has been for the better as well.

The only thing that means to me is that it does no good to talk about that this week. Does not mean Landry is on the bench against the Giants.

It doesn't mean Landry will be on the bench but it certainly isn't committing to him getting his job back either. If this was Vontae Davis or Robert Mathis there wouldn't be any beating around the bush.

definitely like sergio better in coverage, and i think that's more important in the defense we play. still wanna see more consistency from brown before totally giving up on landry. one or two decent games isn't enough of a sample size

Good news, Brown has started the last 3 games and played decent +.

Love the profile pic! She must have lost her weave during booking :)

I agree, although with as well as the defense has been playing you don't want to make a change to what is working as long as it continues to work.

I mean this defense has looked SPECIAL the last couple weeks, and I'm not wanting to change a player on a defense that has been this special.

The mug shot of ShakeDownStreets profile pic. Which is the girl who ran onto the field at LOS during Sunday's game.

Ahh yes, I remember seeing that, just didn't put two and two together.  It's too bad she didn't go streaking.  Wasted opportunity, Pierce.  Absolutely blew it.

I am not so sure about that.  Of course those guys get their job back right away but I still don't see the need to talk about it the week before because it serves no purpose for prep of this week's game.

If Landry is 100 percent healthy, he is back in the line-up.  We don't need intra-team squabbling.  It will kill our chemistry. Yes, we have to put the best players on the field, but keep in mind, he has always been considered a good player.

Gee, yet he hasn`t been impressive here.

I will say that we can see lack of great coverage when either one is playing, but Sergio simply flies around the football and to the football.  He has not looked totally lost like Landry in coverage.

Maybe if Landry was not at home working with body builders and participating in Team Functions, he would not have had the 4 games off.  If I was the one who signed his check I would be mad....but...it is not me.

Hats off to Sergio.   :blueshoe:  :blueshoe:  :blueshoe:

I guess we'd have to hear the actual quote from Pagano in context but why would he convey that "(We) Will deal with whether LaRon Landry returns to lineup when it comes up" if he had no doubt Landry would get his job back when he returns?

"Deal with whether he will return to the lineup when the time comes", my take from that is, "When Landry is off suspension we will assess whether we want to stick with Brown or plug Landry back in". That's how I read that, maybe he just worded it weird or he was quoted poorly.

Probably a reporter asked the question. Press Conference, question probably went something like

"Laron is scheduled to be back next week, what's your plans for him? Will he get his starting role back with how well Brown has played in his place?"

Or something of that nature thus leading to the response Chuck gave

I think there will be some initial pressure from the front office !! However I do believe we will do what's best moving forward I still there is a place for Landry just not every down . One of the main things Landry brings to the table is his physicality the problem with that is the NFL has made it hard on players like Landry with all of the rule changes ! Landry has a hard time in coverage and has become somewhat of a liability on passing downs it doesn't exactly help him that the league is a pass happy league now

Somebody considers Landry a good player? News to me.

Lol as far as im concerned Trade him after season , has not shown me enough to be a personal fan.

Try to....then cut him if not.  I would rather have someone who can tackle that just hit.  He has lunged and missed way to often this season.  I know he was not great last season.
