SF (+7) @ Denver (10-19-14)

22 of 26 for 318 yards and 4 TD's for Manning with 13 minutes to go still. Incredible.

The thing is Luck matches those but his completion percentage isn't nearly where I'd like it to be. However those few drops he had from the likes of Reggie Wayne today sure didn't help the cause.

Denver is clearly the best team in the AFC. Congrats to Peyton on the record and on shredding the niners, not an easy task.

I think it is time to reel in the talk of the Hawks and Niners being the favs in the NFC. At this point it is Dallas, Philly and the Cards.

The packers are playing really well now too

Yeah but I still think until the can prove they can beat teams like the Niners when it counts, they are still an outlier. They have beaten some lousy teams but for sure Rodgers has looked great the last few weeks. I don't think the Lions hang with them but they do already have a game over them so that division could be tight.

Pats and Ravens are starting to peak.

I didn't really think there was a powerhouse team in the NFL this season. If Denver's defense keeps playing like it has, and their run game actually exists, I might have to rethink that.

Without Ball in there screwing it up, Denver's run game looks serviceable for the past couple of weeks. Although it's important to note SF was missing a bunch of guys. We'll see how they run against SD this Thursday. Consistency is key.

Denver's special teams are still suspect, though. Although we've seen Peyton win the SB with 2/3 of a team before. As long as the D keeps showing up they'll be tough to beat. I still think we can hang with them unless they get special teams worked out. Then we're all kinda screwed.

What are you on the season for the over/under???

& i love the double negative! Use them a lot myself, sooo confusing...

Anywho...

I say under, if Niners want to be in this one itll be clock control, & Denver seems to be letting opponents "hang" around...

Give me the Niners & the points & the under...

Boy, I whiffed on this one, I thought we'd see the Broncos of last week that let the Jets "hang around" and I thought San Fran was trending up...

El Wrongo...

You think that's bad? I thought the Bung els were the best team in the AFC going in to this season. I'm still pulling the crow out of my gullet.

Although in fairness I still think they're a pretty good team - just hampered by a useless QB. Pretty much just like the Jets.

Ha, for the past season or two whenever I'd see shots of Dalton I felt like he totally reminded me of an actor or a character from a movie & it finally dawned on me yesterday,  he looks like Lyle Robideaux, one of Bobby Booshay's team mates from the Waterboy...

I'd totally post a picture but I can't get around the filter here at work...
