Yes, we should overreact by giving a call to a headcase that was only ever average at best.

People really need to accept how dumb an idea even uttering the name Incognito is.

I mean everyone deserves a second chance... Im not saying overpay him but bring him in on a prove it deal...  No one is beating the door down to sign him and he could have had for a prove it deal.. And for Mewhort to be ruled out already means this is not a minor injury.

Why do they have Lance Louis starting again?  I found his performance underwhelming in last week's game, while Harrison impressed me more when he played

Thornton has Never had a game where he pass blocked as well as Louis did.

His run blocking was as good or better than Thornton also.

He had one great pull which is Thorntons New Talent, unfortunately Castonzo and Mewhort got handled all game long so the runs to the left got stuffed time after time.

 Good analysis thou otherwise.

Yep, and Sergio Brown will start for Landry, and Lance Louis will start at LG Sunday and Thornton is back at RG per Pagano

I'd love to know what's wrong with Chris Clemons. Are we really going to ride Sergio Brown for 4 weeks, one of our tougher 4 week stretches? This is when the "Next Man Up" cliché fails.

From what I recall (and your recollection is probably better), the OL seemed to open running lanes better as a unit with Harrison than what they did with Louis.  It might be similar to the Shipley/Satele situation where Satele was the superior talent, but the OL performed better with Shipley.  Louis might be the better talent, but the OL appeared to block better with Harrison.  I don't recall Louis getting beat very badly and giving up sacks all over the place, but I do recall seeing him struggle to open up running lanes

Good grief! One reason both our guards are struggling to open up running lanes is the weak Center.

We are getting nothing up the middle. Holmes please!

We should be getting Art Jones back in 2-3 weeks. Shipley is getting pushed back on every play at center. Looks better with Hugh next to him. I hope Hugh isn't getting rushed back. But look for blitzes to come in on Louis and Shipley's side.

If he was as good as people seem to think he would have a job . He was not very good before his incident he may have been in the past but he was part of a line getting his QB killed and he was not the bright spot of it .

The Dolphins was actually his 3rd chance, he was already kicked off of 2 other NFL teams for similar %. There's second chances and then there's knucklehead for life. He isn't even good.

Oh okay,  I didnt know he was kicked off other teams before this.  But something has to be done and promoting off the practice squad is not the answer.  Maybe holmes come back and center and shipley move to guard in a pinch.  Our interior has been shuffled too much at the beginning of the season.

Shipley is a terrible guard, he was cut from an OL starved Ravens team for being so awful at it. He is simply a much better center than guard, and clearly they also aren't comfortable putting Holmes in at guard either. The O line has performed admirably and having one guard out didn't kill them last week, and it shouldn't this week either.

Do I need to post the Aaron Rodgers relax video in this thread?

The titans are terrible so what was done against them and the jags should detour them from trying to improve the line.

Addition by subtraction on the Landry part.... No big loss

Last year we was doing great before he the injury.  Although he hasn't lived up to expectations, we would be far better off with him in there than Sergio.  I'm hoping Landry can clear his head and when he comes back he can show people what he is capable of.

Lance Louis was good in pass protection last week. Mewhort is a better run blocker but I didn't think we we're going to be able to run the ball vs the Ravens front 7 with him, Luck will have to pass for 300 yards and 3 TD's for us to win it.

I'm more concerned about Sergio Brown starting, the same guy who let Gabbert beat us with a game winning TD. He's a good tackler but can't cover, takes bad angles. I still think we'll win because of how good Luck, the CB's, and run defense has been. It'll just be a closer game.

That's what i would like to know, i dont recall him ever going down.

I do recall seeing him on the sidelines when our offense was on the field but a few snaps later and he was back on. I'm thinking they just don't want this to turn into a long term injury so they are giving him a weeks rest.

I felt that way at first. After rewatching, I thought Louis was fine. No issues in pass protection. He wasn't blowing holes open in the run game, and was sloppy at times, but I thought he was okay. Not as good as Thornton, obviously, but no worse than Harrison in his few snaps against the Jags. I'm kind of "meh" on both of them, to be honest.

I thought he played fine as well solid for his first action of the year. Sad to see Mewhort out though, he is young and makes some mistakes, but for the most part he keeps getting better, he and Costanzo have the same body type an work well together!
