terpsnation
If Chuck thinks John is being serious, then he's a dumb-dumb (wow - the profanity filter on this website is strict). I don't think Chuck is a dumb-dumb, I assume that in order to get the response he/she wanted, a reporter asked the question in a way to insinuate that John wasn't joking when he said that the Colts pipe noise into LOS. Naturally a bunch of Colts-centric fan sites are running with it. Pretty sad tbh.

ColtsLegacy
Harbaugh made a joke and now this reporter is trying to stir % up by relaying it to Pagano, who doesn't know the context, as if Harbaugh was serious. But, hell, if it motivates our 12th man to be that much louder, I'm all for it. CardiacColts
It's all in jest. I actually think it was pretty slick how Pags played it off. Deflect said threat unto fans to challenge us to rise to the occasion. I for one intend to rise up on Sunday!

Sometimes its hard to tell if people are joking without actually seeing Pagano or Harbaugh talk.

Coltswarriors
I was at the broncos game last year and that was insane loud, didn't matter what down, people were on their feet giving 18 all he could handle, so i think it just depends on the game really, are you going horse for the titian's, probably not, but bring Brady in and people going to loose their voices to make it difficult on him The fans were AMAZING that game. Every single down the crowd was roaring. Loved it.
Imped
I'll be there, loud as always. I'm constantly not able to talk the day after a game so I don't foresee any changes from my direction.

superrep1967
Hope so, cause they need to pump in the noise in the LOS. Well it has gotten a lot better. First few years it was pretty quiet compared to the Dome. When LOS first opened I thought it was yuppy ville usa. Lower level anyways. Not wanting to stand, gold clapping pretty much lol. It's still Yuppy Villa USA! But the noise has gotten better.
superrep1967
I posted a thread last year asking why. It's mostly the crowd's fault I think. There are a lot of people sitting down making no noise even on 3rd downs.Although if it were an outdoor stadium it would be less comfy and people would probably be more rambunctious.People in general are very lazy and also think there to good to stand. 21isSuperman
Personally, I'm surprised he took it as an insult to the fans. If anything, I would take it as a compliment; our fans are so loud, opposing teams think (in jest) that we pump crowd noise in. It's all in fun and games, I think. These guys have a history with each other and both are good character coaches, so no big deal

crazycolt1
Yeah, so now it's going to be the loudest ever this Sunday at Lucas Oil!LOS is a hard building to be too loud in. It is almost two times as big as the RCA dome was. 1.8 million square feet vs 92,000 square feet. Big difference. Plus the height of the roof also makes it harder. That would have given less than 1 sq ft per person in attendance.

schwamm
I worked at the Dome/ Convention Center back in the mid-90's and I remember the accusations back then too.I guess that could buy you some benefit of the doubt. I was a season ticket holder, though, through the a Harbaugh years, and recall a ton of empty seats and opposing team jerseys in the mid-90s... more than I do fan noise that could be confused for "piped-in".So I am still inclined to believe you are incorrect. ColtsBlueFL
Didn't all this get started in 2009 (?) when we played NE and the CBS production staff goofed and caused an audible glitch on air? Not really. The piped in accusations were there long before that Colts/Pats game in 2007. But folks really ramped up the claims after that game in 2007 when the CBS truck got feedback from a tape machine. They claimed they heard it in the stadium. Until this article came out. Then it was back to the usual suspects still claiming the piped in clams. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Production-cause-of-audio-glitch-during-Pats-Col?urn=nfl,52422

Yes, and in 2005, the Steelers complained we piped in noise. But they got us back in the playoffs, so we rarely remember that one.

SteelCityColt
why is it that the loudest stadiums in the NFL are open air facilities? I would have said that it's because the majority of the top 10 stadiums in terms of capacity are open it would be partly to do with sheer number of people but seeing as Centurylink isn't up there in capacity it can't be down to this. Pretty sad tbh.Think of the children & after all I think dumb dumb is a much more amusing insult that reminds me of being in grade school when calling each other silly little names really counted. At any rate accusing a team of piping in noise whether it was a joke or not is going to make some fans speak up & you can rest assured that they will do so when it counts during the game too. As noted by many the Hoosier Dome (sorry RCA) was pretty amazing especially when the crowd would go from 11 to zero once the offense took the field on game day which probably freaked more than a few visitors out back in the day.
