James Harrison to sign with Steelers

It's annoying when players "un-retire". 

You mean James Harrison pulled a Brett Favre. Just Kidding! 

 

Yeah I know, it's more desperation on HC Mike Tomlin's part than anything else given their injuries against the Panthers on SNF on NBC. How much does he have left in the LB tank? Are they gonna sign Joey Porter too & allow him to double dip as another LB & sideline coach too? 

 

All kidding aside, I'd pull the trigger on Porter vs Harrison actually. Joey was a mad dog with pads on & Harrison's final year in Cincinnati never impressed me at all.

They are only signing him for a one day contract so he can retire as a Steeler.

Normally, I would agree with you Bogie except for this line....

Yep, Ed I love you man, but your days in an NFL uniform are over. I'm still bummed how things turned out in Houston. I expected you to do something meaningful there not sink like a rock in water. Yeah I know, your hip gave you problems. I understand that. I just have so much respect for you as a safety who jumped routes & picked off QB passes that I was saddened to see you go out that way. 

 

You better get elected in the HOF BTW. I don't care about stats just that he always scared the crap out of me whenever INDY faced him & Tom Brady revered his skills too. He was a game changer man. Just incredible! 

 

Yes, when he retires as a Raven, gets inducted into the Baltimore ring of Honor, & receives his yellow jacket I will be watching & applauding him. The guy was so darn smart at knowing all the elite QBs tendencies. I can't wait to see what his HOF bronze bust looks like with the beard, wild hair, & devilish smile after he just picked Manning off. LOL! 

 

Baltimore will make the playoffs this year, go on a deep run with the addition of Steve Smith Sr who gives your club the renewed toughness of WR Anquan Boldin again IMO & I don't care who they sign Pittsburgh will get crushed by the Ravens & Bengals in their division. Book it.

I will throw the Steelers 1 bone & only 1 bone of praise: WR Justin Brown is lightning fast with velcro for hands. The dude can catch anything...

 

However, if T-sizzle, double nickel Suggs gets to hit him with 1 really good tackle of him in the open field...He will be shaken up & not be able to launch into that 6th speed gear I think.

 

I didn't say 55 would catch him just get 1 blindside hit on him when Brown isn't ready for it. I'm not talking an dirty hit just a nice little love tap that's all.  haha Keep your head on a swivel son. 

 

Speaking of Suggs, I find it hypocritical that he was fined for wearing a gladiator mask in a gladiator sport. That's like fining a Nascar driver for driving too fast or a navy pilot for breaking the sound barrier. Really lame & beyond laughable to me...Plus, it was pregame fun. Loosen up Goodell & the league office. Don't you have enough damage control stuff to deal with right now? Ridiculous.
