I think that if you get Bortles back there, you will have a vision for the team - seemed like 2 different offenses.  With some focus and vision I think they can be competitive and beat a couple teams for us!

At least the fantasy stock on Toby Gerhart and Cecil Shorts is looking up with Bortles taking the reins.

Bortles' style of play reminds me of Case Keenum, just that he's bigger. He's a gun slinger with bad fundamentals, which will eventually lead to mistakes and losses.

I watched that game just like I watched that other Vikings/Saints game. After today I don't know how you can't give it up man.

If the Lions maintain their form (I think they'll start something like 6-2 and finish 8-8) they can beat the Saints by 40.

This is the bad Fitzpatrick I've been talking about. Too many turnovers. But that defense also made Eli Manning look like he still knows how to play QB, and got gashed on the ground.

yeah I agree just a terrible game on all counts. We couldn't stop the run and of course that inspired Eli and the defense got pumped. I was appalled at how easy they made it look. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, or we will be seeing Mallett very soon. Great game by the Giants.

It's not so much that, as the offense was completely worthless in the first half for the second week in a row (45 total yards of offense and 2 first downs for the entire first half). Henne is a dead duck and playing him does nothing but keep you non competitive.

yeah I agree just a terrible game on all counts. We couldn't stop the run and of course that inspired Eli and the defense got pumped. I was appalled at how easy they made it look. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, or we will be seeing Mallett very soon. Great game by the Giants.

 

The defense oughta be fine, but that kind of game makes me scratch my head. I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

I get that but when the coaches were as adamant as they were about letting the guy develop then you kind of expect them to. I thought they would live and die by Henne this year. Oh well they might be making the right decision, we will see.

It was probably taken out of the coach's hands to a degree, the longer Henne was in, the more the team seemed to deflate. His poor play was so bad, it was even starting to effect overall morale. The team (and fans) seemed to re-energize a bit when Bortles came in. Sometimes, it's a matter of keeping your locker room.

I think they will win least 2-3 games if not more ... they started hot against the Eagles.

Yeah we smashed them pretty good, but I believe they'll eek out a couple wins with Bortles.  I think they got it right with him, he's a good talent from what I saw and fearless.  I wouldn't be surprised if they won a couple with him.

Lol great analogy. I was more shocked at this even than the Patriot Dolphin game honestly. Oh well, hopefully just a hiccup. We got E.J. Manuel next week.

Definitely not a team to underestimate. Texans already lost one trap game, this could be another. Manuel is coming into his own this year and that defense speaks for itself.
