Would you be opposed to trading Fleener?

If you do get rid of Fleener, get some value out of him by getting some picks to package up and move up and get a pass rusher that way.

I wouldn't do it though.

I don't understand you guys who just have a closed mind when it comes to trading Fleener. Yes he has talent, but he seems to still underwhelm me even after being in the league for 2 plus years. I think Allen is so much better, and Doyle is not a bad #2 TE to have. And I still think Swoope has some potential. If we are planning on resigning Nicks or Reggie next offseason, we will again be stacked at WR so having a TE like Fleener is not a necessity with already having Allen.

If we can get a 3rd for him, Im all for trading him. I'd even consider it for a high 4th.

We shouldn't be the ones shopping him. If you expect to get something for him then they have to make us an offer. I think our 3 te rotation is working very nice though. You get rid of Fleener who's our # 3? If the price is right sure. But no reason to trade for the sake of trading. And I get on old Butter Fleeners case big time.

No doubt Luck hears the negative chatter, and that's why he will continue to target Fleener, especially in the red zone.

Sure he has dropped a few easy targets already, but he redeemed himself later in the Jax game.

Obviously, Luck would be extraordinarily upset if we traded him. That right there matters more than any of our opinions.

What about Fleener to the Browns for Paul Kruger?

Kruger got overpaid, but if he doesn't pan out, we can release him after this year. If he pans out, even an average-good pass rusher is better than an average-good TE/receiver.

I doubt the Browns would be open to that for 2 reasons.

1 the dead money they would have to put on their cap from trading Kruger.

2. They already have a pretty good TE in Cameron.
