Inaugural Indianapolis colts season autographed football?

Hi, my grandpa just died RIP and he left me a team autographed mint condition inaugural season football?. I tried to find some like it on eBay to guage the value, condition etc. But I can't find another one like it anywhere. Hense my question, how rare\valuable is this and were can I take it to get its authenticity checked out??

Rare/Valuable? Without a certificate, it's not "worth" anything. Is it rare? Depends on the signatures that are on it. Unless there's some high profile players, even getting it authenticated isn't going to bring the value up any.

 

If you can take some pictures, I may be able to give you an idea of what a collector may pay for it.

Even then, if it's a one of a kind item, it would be hit and miss. 

 

Basically, it depends on what signatures are on the ball, and what condition those signatures are in. If there's anybody of note in good condition, might be worth something. Essentially, the ball as a whole means little, the value will come from each individual signature on the ball, with each signature of worth that is authentic and in good condition, adding to the value more than it would be on their own, based on rarity of the two players signing the same thing.

 

There's a lot of variables here, if you have any players of note there, it would be best to go to a specialist and have them authenticate it for you.

Unfortunately there weren't any stars on that team. It's a cool item to own if youre a colts fan, but it isn't worth much

I have things that my Grandfather left me and also some that were given to me later. I don't know what your plans are but no amount of money could buy these items from me. If it was some ungodly amount of money I guess but I put a higher value on these things that money can't buy. Just me I guess.
