Patriots awarded Kelcy Quarles

Pats are lower on the list since they went to AFC CG I believe, so I doubt we put one in on him. Could be wrong, but pretty sure it is essentially the same as draft positioning at this stage of the game. So whoever put in a claim that is the highest in the order is awarded the player.

how do you know who put in claims for the players?

Waivers work by giving priority to teams who finished worse. Since the Colts and Pats both made it to the playoffs, priority is given to the team eliminated first. The Colts were eliminated prior the to Pats, so the Colts have priority on the waiver wire. Since the Colts had higher priority on waivers than the Pats, and the Pats got Quarles, there is no possible scenario in which the Colts put in a claim for him.

I wouldn't think we would we aren't in need there so once you put in a request you go to the bottom of the line that is what I figured.

Can you see what teams have put in request anywhere

if the colts would have put in a claim, he would be here

I realize we would have gotten him over NE unless NE some how made a deal that included a move up the waiver wire if that is possible. I am more wondering about Gilkey and a couple of others who were awarded.

It isn't that big of deal just wanted to know if there was a way to see who else was putting in clams on awarded players or a way to see if Grig's put in any requests. To be honest I personally didn't see much out there I think makes  our 53 but was interested to see what we did if anything.

I don't know about seeing each team's claims, but it's not possible to move up the waiver wire

LIke I said I really didn't see anything worth making a claim on. They go right to the 53 man roster. I was a little interested in Gilkey maybe slide Harrison or Tipton to the practice squad until Reitz is healthy. Right now depending on Nixon we really only have Mewhort and Louis at T. Lance started all 12 games his senior year SDSU. He played TE when he first got there I didn't realize that.

Reitz is a bummer I really don't like having to make first cuts and then having to play another game. You end up putting valuable players in harms way unnecessarily. Of course we lose the most valuable back up on the O Line.

As stated elsewhere, there is no way of finding out who put in claims.

Also, the waiver system doesn't recycle the order. It is what it is. The worst team in the league will always have priority on players who are released on waivers (still players with 4 or less years accrued, I believe). If I recall, waivers will change a few weeks into the season, so that the current team with the worst record will have priority and the team with the best team will have the least.

I read somewhere it was week 3 when the waiver order changes to currently bad teams .
