We should trade Rogers

He is our 6th WR, if we can get a experienced starting guard that has a positive grade we should pull the trigger. Next year we can draft or pickup a new WR.

Im all for it if we don't have to give up any picks next year and if we could add another one. Just as long as we don't get ripped off on the deal like what seems to be happening a lot lately.

So you're suggesting that not only we can find a trade partner willing to trade away a starting G for a currently 6th string WR but also we should look to get additional picks???!

If they could achieve even the nth degree of the above it would be far from getting ripped off.

Do you think you can find one with a 7th round pick? You are not getting more for him than that and probably not even that. What makes anyone think this marginal roster making player has some trade value?

Would love to hear which teams/starting guards you had in mind a being legitimate trade partners when you came up with this idea.

Read what you have there again and I'll think it will hit you . An experienced guard , that's good besides , for a player that appeared to be on the brink...?

maybe a 6th round pick we are not getting an experienced starting guard for a WR that was on the bubble to make our team

If we can get a 4th or early 5th for him, I'm all for it. But if not, hold on to him and keep mentoring him by surrounding him with leaders like Reggie Wayne, Pagano, Luck, etc.

He's only in his 2nd year and he's too talented to trade away for a 6th or 7th in my opinion.

His trade value is the rough equivilent of a bucket of sand. No chance any team would give up a 4th / 5th round pick for him. None. Learn this so you don't propose it again because this anit the first time I have seen this from you.

As a "seller," you sell when the value is high. Cleveland needs a big receiver and could become delusional at the thought of DaRick and Josh next season. But they are not giving us much for our 6th Receiver.

If only they'd become delusional enough to trade us Mack for Rogers...... If only....

Well then you don't trade him then, easy as that. You don't give up a talented player like Rogers for next to nothing. You surround him with high character guys and hope for the best.

I was all for Whalen > Rodgers if we kept 5 but his value isn't enough to part ways with him unless a team with depth issues already has some injuries and they get really desperate and willing to trade a 4th or a good player in a position of need for us .

Yeah- since Cleveland lost Josh Gordon, we'll send Rogers to them for Mack and also give us an unconditional 6th round pick.  But only If Cleveland covers 85% of Mack;s salary....

Maybe we can get a top level FS for Andy Studebaker? And another draft pick?
