I like to do a bunch of fantasy leagues a year and I equally enjoy helping people out on their teams with drafting help, start/sit questions, etc... If you need any help in a league on who to draft, who to start week 1 or anything else, post here and I'll help.

P.S. Provide me with the team your player is against so I don't have to look up all your players opponents, for example: Andrew Luck @Den

Thanks!

Have a great season and ask away!

OK HERES MY QUESTION.... I STUPIDLY WENT WITH ARIAN FOSTER AS MY RB2 GOT HIM 3 OR 4TH RD. DO I TRY AND TRADE HIM AWAY IF ANY ONE WILL OR DO I ROLL WITH HIM AND HOPE HE STAYS HEALTHY?

It all depends what you can get for him. You actually got good value in the 3rd or 4th round. I would probably try to trade him for a rb like a montee ball or gio bernard if i could. If you want a WR, try and trade for a Jordy Nelson or Antonio Brown type receiver. If you get someone to accept one of these offers, yes, I would do it, as I don't trust Foster 100%. Go for the position you need obviously.

Okay thank you! I am at work and it's a requirement for me to have caps on. I'll have to try and remember to keep them off.

Don't target one of them as of now. Ray Rice is suspended two games and you'd be putting yourself at a major disadvantage having to use pierre thomas. Keep Foster for at least the first two games.

I would start Bernard Pierce as my RB2. Trent is unreliable right now and the Colts may be behind or it could be a shootout vs denver. Either way, Trent probably won't get the ball much. Ridley is decent, but I'd like to wait a game if I could to see how the Pats rb situation plays out.

The easy choice in your second question is Emmanuel Sanders. He's going to receive a decent amount of targets in a shootout vs indy. With Welker having a concussion, his workload may increase a bit as well. Use him as your WR2. The second one is tougher. I'd go with TY Hilton in this case just because no matter what happens in this game, the Colts will be passing the ball a ton and Hilton will probably score a td and have a great chance to break out for a big play or two. Garcon actually might be the better choice in PPR, but I'd still go with Hilton this week, even against a solid Broncos secondary. Floyd is a good option week 1, but he doesn't have as much potential as the other two. You have to look for matches like the colts and broncos, and then exploit them for as many points as you can get.

Thanks dude. I may be talking to you a ton this season as you hit my thoughts on the head. I've actually been thinking about trading away Garçon, Floyd or even both together to get myself a better RB1 option as right now I've got Zac Stacy.

Personally, I do not see Arian Foster as an issue whatsoever. He will make a comeback this year, I feel. Look at his schedule too, very generous with the AFC South and the NFC East. Plus, he is one of those few backs that is involved in the passing game too. Unless he has a serious injury, you have to keep riding him, IMO.

Need to pick one guy as WR2:

Vincent Jackson vs. Panthers

Michael Floyd vs. Chargers

I would go with Vincent Jackson. He's a true no1 and I think Lovie is going to employ the same type of pass offense that the bears did last year with McCown. V-Jax will get a few deep passes IMO. Right now I think Floyd won't compare to V-Jax.

Hows this trade sound?

Tom Brady and Kendall Wright for Doug Martin and Ty Hilton?

You're not giving me complete information (I don't know your backup qb). However, If you have any sort of decent backup qb, (a Russell Wilson, Nick Foles type), I would probably do it. Brady and Wright are both question Marks. I think Brady is better realistically than statistically and Wright is a questionable no1 that really only has value in ppr. With Charles Sims out for 12-14 weeks, Doug Martin will be a solid featured back and he will do very well. I'm not a huge fan of TY Hilton in fantasy, because the Colts receivers will get very equal targets. I do think that Hilton will get some big plays and be more valuable than wright though. Take the TY, Martin side.

In a 16-Team league, who is better for backup, Jordan Matthews or Andre Holmes?

This is very difficult, Jordan Matthews has a great fantasy team in the Eagles while Holmes is on the Raiders. However I think that Holmes has the experience and he will be big with Derek Carr. Mathews is a rookie and I would xpect a bit less from him. Go with Holmes at this point, he should do very well with Carr as the starter, I expect somewhat of a breakout from him, don't know what to expect from Mathews.

I have Brady as my backup and Newton as my starter right now. Need help at RB and looking to get Doug Martin. I Think Wright will end up being Tenn #1 while ty won't get as many receptions as last year with Nicks and Wayne. The other guy only has rg3

Newton is a slightly better Russell Wilson IMO. I'd do the trade. I absolutely agree with wright being the #1 in tenn, but he doesn't have much value outside of ppr leagues. TY will get a couple less receptions, but he'll make a ton of big plays as well. Also, Doug Martin will be huge help, thanks for the extra info and stick with Martin and TY.

Who should i start in my flex (NO PPR). I have Gerhart in right now.

QB- M.Stafford @ NYG

RB- E.Lacy @ Sea

RB- B.Tate @ Pit

WR- B.Marshall @ Buf

WR-J.Edelman @ Mia

TE- J.Thomas @ Ind

Flex- T.Gerhart @ Jax - R.Cooper @ Jax - B.Cooks @ Atl - D.Sproles @ Jax

K- R.Gould @ Buf

Def- Rams

I would keep Gerhart in. In a Non PPR Sproles is automatically out. Cooks is tempting, but I'd like to see one game before making him a starter in a normal league like this. Comes down to Cooper and Gerhart and Cooper is just one of many faces on the Eagles WR core and I would want to see if he continues to be a top target for Foles, or if someone else steps up week 1. Go with the safe option in Gerhart, he's a featured back and will be a workhorse that can get you possibly 100 yards and a td week 1.

Just received a trade request in my ppr league. Now at first it seemed ridiculous, but as I check it out it doesn't seem so bad. Don't really think so but figured I'd get your opinion.

His Edelman(vs. Mia) for my K. Wright(vs KC).

I don't know much about Wright but Edelman was a PPR machine last year.

This is so close. I think that Wright will get more opportunities while edelman has the better qb. Edelman now has to deal with a healthy Gronk, Lafell, and a group of rookies that have a year of experience under their belt. Wright is a monster in ppr and he only has competition from Nate Washington and Justin Hunter. While Hunter has looked better, I think he will help take pressure off wright more than take targets away from him. Keep Kendall Wright.

Well, Decker is on the Jets, not against them :). However, I would take Decker against the Raiders. I know Geno isn't the best passer, but Stephen Hill is gone and guys like Kerley aren't exactly lighting the field up opposite the field of Decker. I also have been seeing that Amaro has mightily struggled in training camp and preseason, so they will rely a lot on Decker to carry their passing attack. Torrey Smith is very good, but I wouldn't start him for a couple reasons. The first is that there is more competition in Baltimore for the ball. Steve Smith is there now, Dennis Pitta and Owen Daniels will get plenty of looks in 2 TE sets.Bernard Pierce and Kyle Juscyvck will get some screen passes. Just to many targets. The second reason is that the Bengals will play the Ravens hard. They will cover Smith well and give 100% effort in a division game. They also have a very good defense. Go with Decker.

Pick 1 QB 3 WR 2 RB's 1 TE

QB's

D Bryant

A Jeffery

P Garcon

RB's

L McCoy

D Murray

A Foster

A Morris

D Martin

TE's

J Thomas

R Gronkowski

Keeper League so stacked not sure who to play really want A perfect season standard scoring

Very stacked here! Lets start with the QB. I, myself, in another league started Luck over Rodgers where I had the choice where I was stacked at QB, so I'm easily doing it over Cutler. Either it's going to be a high scoring shootout between Luck and Manning, or Luck is going to fall behind and throw. Either way, I see him getting more than Cutler, who is inconsistent.

The WR's are a bit interesting. Demaryius Thomas is a must start as I expect him to get at least 100 yds and a td with welker out, and that's on the low side. Dez Bryant is an easy start. The 49ers secondary is still a bit suspect and the Cowboys will more than likely fall behind in this game, that means they panic and throw plenty to Dez Bryant, who should put up some decent numbers and a td. The third WR is tougher, if it was PPR I'd go Garcon, but since it's standard I go Jeffrey. There are going to be some nice plays in that game by Jeffrey and Marshall, and there should be enough for Jeffrey to have a nice day. I think as the game goes on, the Bears will run the ball more as the bears build a lead, so expect to get his production early. Garcon will get more catches, but RGIII doesn't throw deep to Garcon, and the Texans Def will get to them IMO.

As far as RB's go, I absolutely love LeSean McCoy this week. He'll get some catches, a ton of rushing yards whether the Eagles are ahead or behind, in the beginning or end game. My no1 rb this week. Expect Lynch like points from him this week. Eliminate Foster and Morris as I don't see them on the same level as the other two remaining because of either situations, production, matchups and/or injuries. That leaves DeMarco Murray and Doug Martin. DeMarco Murray is an excellent back capable of scoring a ton and the 49ers D-Line is weakened, but he's still the guy to sit. As I said with Dez earlier, the Cowboys will fall behind, and when they do, for some reason they completely panic and abandon the running game. Maybe they'll learn not to, but you have to go with past results, expect DeMarco's stats and carries to dissolve as the game goes on, sit Murray. Doug Martin is the guy this week. He has a tough match, but Charles Sims is out for 12 -14 weeks and Doug Martin will once again be a featured back. Lovie will run the ball with him and the Bucs have a solid enough offense now where they should be able to run it well. Martin also catches the ball and is a very good start this week, despite the tough matchup.

Finally, the Last one is easy with TE. Go with Julius Thomas over Gronk. Gronk is still hurt and he's questionable to play, also Brady is somewhat hurt and he may not be 100%. Julius Thomas is in the perfect situation like Demaryius, and he will absolutely dominate against the Colts on Sunday night with Welker gone. If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck, it's usually a duck. Go with Julius and it should be a good night at TE.

Good Luck with your roster, you should dominate whoever you face!

Thanks for the in depth analysis only difference I have is Murray instead of Martin . Very good point about between the two RB's that is where I've been stuck they can all put up a lot of points any givin week . There is talk about resetting rosters or going to a 2 man keeper system after this season so I really want to have a perfect season this team has been years in the making  . I've been overthinking everything already even thinking about trying to trade for Manning or another top tier QB .

Only trade for Manning if you're rosters are 100% being reset next year. If so, bite the bullet and trade McCoy for Manning to try and win one more. If not, keep Luck and hopefully he turns into Manning over the next few years fantasy-wise. Good Luck in whatever decision you make and I'm glad to help!

Emmanuel Sanders vs Ind or Crabtree vs Cowboys???

I am leaning towards Sanders because the 49ers like to shorten the game with their running game, that is how they operate ALL the time, and since the 49ers running game is better than that of the Broncos, I'm leaning towards Sanders having more targets.

Thoughts???

Sanders should definitely have a lot of targets, and it could very well be more than Crabtree. Both Indy and Dallas are weak Vs the pass, more so Dallas, but there a few that make me agree with you. Yes, the 49ers do shorten the game with their run game, but with Kendall Hunter out for the year and Lattimore unable to play they are relying a ton on Gore and Hyde. This will make them pass a lot more. What makes me choose Sanders over Crabtree is the number of options on the 49ers offense now. Crabtree, Boldin, Davis, Steve Johnson, Gore. I think he also may be affected by an injury he currently has (believe it's a leg injury). Sanders has the better qb, has the extra targets because of the welker suspension, has the benefit of being single covered in a shootout game, and isn't too much of a downgrade even if they were dead even anyway. Go with Sanders and exploit this matchup for all it's worth.

Need 2 WR, 2 RB's and a Flex

Keenan Allen vs Seattle

V Jax vs. St Louis

F Gore vs Chicago

Z Stacy vs Tampa Bay

E Lacy vs NYJ

Kelvin Benjamin vs Detroit

My thoughts. . .

1. I don't know if Lacy is even going to be back for the game against the Jets.  That's not looking like a great matchup anyways.

2. I really don't like Allen because he's against Seattle

Right now IF Lacy comes back to play I'm looking at

WR K Benjamin

WR V Jax

RB E Lacy

RB Z Stacy

Flex: F Gore

If Lacy doesn't come back I'm gonna move Gore up to RB and put K Allen in at Flex.

Thoughts?

Well that wasa bad week. All the guarantees simply did not show up for my team. Looking to pick up J. Forsett, don't know who to drop tho. My options are:

J. Bell

F. Jackson

T. Gerhart

Or just role with what I have. What say you!

Keep Bell and Gerhart for sure. Bell has a solid role in the lions lineup and is getting the ball alot. He's a good option even in non-ppr. Toby Gerhart is a solid workhorse back and I wouldn't replace him with a back that is splitting carries for the most part. The decision comes down to Fred Jackson and Justin Forsett. Fred Jackson is very good still and is going to get more opportunities actually on a run heavy bills team with a lot of explosiveness even at his age. Justin Forsett has a chance of being the starter and get plenty of reps last week as the 2 back in the Ravens backfield. While Forsett has more upside, I'd probably stick with Fred Jackson at this point unless you can't score with your rbs and need a potential home run hitter. Go with F-Jax.

    • Ballard praised Georgia defensive players and their knowledge of the game.   Georgia defensive players in this year's draft, per Scouts Inc (ESPN): Kamari Lassiter, CB, #45 (doesn't fit Ballard's profile for DBs) Javon Bullard, S, #49 (doesn't fit Ballard's profile for safeties) Tykee Smith, S, #97 (not a great fit for Ballard's profile for safeties) Zion Logue, DT, #222 (long, big, not a standout athlete) Jontrey Hunter, LB, #316 (not a great fit from a size standpoint, didn't run)
    • When did he consult you about who they think is elite?
    • I have heard one GM who says he thinks LTs and defensive players may go earlier than expected. Interesting ro see who wil   Bowers won't be there at 15. He is special if u watch the tape.
    • If we stay at 15 and pick a player I would expect that player to be one of 19 he graded as a 1st rd talent.   The only WR’s I have seen in the top 20 of the entire draft are Harrison, Nabors and Odunze.  He can sit and hope if he wants but when he’s that close to possibly getting elite seems like it would be smart to move up and get one of them.  And who cares if we have to pay him a big second contract.  You should be happy you hit on a pick.  You really prefer a role player instead of elite?  Because of money.  Omg that’s an unbelievable take.  I can’t believe it.  Wow!
    • It’s hard to get a read from Ballard's presser. It almost seemed liked he co-signed his young DB room and said they’re just going to roll the dice with what they have but maybe add some competition. I get that he feels they can take a leap, but I’m not sure I can be convinced that Flowers or Jones will ever be better than Quinyon Mitchell or Cooper DeJean.   Of all of Ballard’s philosophies regarding team building (specifically related to the draft) the one I have the most issue with is the over confidence and eagerness to bank on low round players and UDFA’s as long term solutions. You have a projected starting secondary consisting a 7th round pick from Yale who did not play well last season, a 7th round corner who well outplayed his draft position, but has clear limitations athletically, a 3rd round safety who is gifted athletically, but we still don’t know if he’s better as FS or SS, and a 2nd round pick who showed great flashes when healthy but is still a question mark.    I get rolling the dice with JuJu, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t look for upgrades for Thomas and Jones/Flowers. I know he said he’d like to add competition there, but drafting a guy 4th round likely isn’t going to give your CB group a boost. I know he said they’re technically not young in his eyes, but they are young. If you’re going to add another “young” corner, add one with high end traits and skills. I’m not dead set on Mitchell or DeJean in round 1 or bust because I also like a couple day 2 corners. I’m just saying I’d much rather take a shot with one of them than just run it back with the same group.   Where we really need talent at for sure though is Edge.
