First draft this year

Recommended Posts

I think it was very good, 10 Teams, I was drafting from the 9th position.

QB - Luck, Tannehill
WR - Demaryius Thomas, DeSean Jackson, Julian Edelman, Eric Decker, Hakeem Nicks, Steve Smith Sr.
RB - Zac Stacy, Rashad Jennings, Toby Gerhart, Chris Johnson
TE - Jimmy Graham
K - Steven Hauschka
DEF - Houston Texans

On the RB's I think it's my weakest point, but I think my depth is sufficient, and they are all #1 RB's with their teams,

When you get a guy like Jimmy Graham, you always have to remember that you are getting a potential WR1 or WR2 at worst, that makes up for a RB3 or WR3 not being up to par. That is how I look at it. I don't think your RB position is weak at all as long as you play the matchups right.

Ya those end positions are nearly as bad as being first. You definitely went heavy on WR.  i may have gotten a different TE or RB and sacrifice one of the WR.  But idk who was available for you to pick up.  But you can definitely play the waiver wire for the K and Def.

Just did one on NFL fantasy football and i got messed up.  I wont do one again with them.  Since i was back to back i left my one of my picks run down so i could have more time to decide on next pick.  Well time ran down and picked what i put in the que, but it auto enrolled me in auto pick and then instantly drafted a kicker for me.  Which i needed one but not then.  Heres how mine went down. mind you, i was first...ugh

Round 1:  L. McCoy

Round 2: Matthew Stafford (QB's were all going, keep in mind this was pick like 20)

Round 3: AJ Green

Round 4: V. Davis

Round 5: C. Patterson

Round 6: T. GerhartR

Round 7: Joque Bell

Round 8: Cincinnati

Round 9: S. Gostkowski (this was the dumb auto pick)

Round 10: Torrey Smith

Round 11: Mike Wallace

Round 12: Fred Jackson

Round 13: P. Rivers

Round 14: Charles Clay

Round 15: Texans

All of the top RB's were gone by my #9 pick, and I wasn't picking Demarco Murray with #9 overall, it was either Graham, or Dex Bryant, and in that situation, you always opt for the guy in the TE slot since WR's are much easier to get. Then after my next pick, a pick I still wasn;t ready to dish out for Murray (#12 overall) I took D. Thomas because he fell in my lap. Then 6 more RB's left the board before I drafted Stacy in round 3, then Rashad Jennings in round 4.

Not to bad then.  Did they provide you with a draft grade and projection for the season?  Good thing about the NFL.com FF is that they sent me an email detailing how i did overall compared to other players and a projection for the season.  Got a B for my draft grade and projected 2nd out of my league.  Thought that was pretty cool.

I got a " B-" but they rank Texans defense in the bottom of the league, and also, they say Steve Smith is more of a WR5, and only 9% owned so they knocked me for that.

I don't read too much into their projections.

Don't bother taking their projections uber seriously. If they were that good, they'd be in Vegas working for some kingpin, not writing and critiquing on yahoo. :)

Ya I picked up the Texans D for my last pick because im not trusting the Bengals on the opener for one, and i think the Texans D is going to be super tough.  On top of that they play the bills during Cinci's bye week.  I think that will be a pretty good game for the Texans.

I'm wary of Stacy but that's probably just me.  Overall really strong though.

My first offline draft where we actually sat down and called our draft picks out, old school :). 10 team league where I picked 4th.

This is how I did:

QBs - Matt Ryan, Eli Manning

RB - Eddie Lacy, Arian Foster, Reggie Bush, Rashad Jennings, Shane Vereen

WR - Dez Bryant, Roddy White, Torrey Smith, Eric Decker

TE - Zach Ertz, Dennis Pitta

D - Bengals, Texans

K - Matt Bryant (might probably change it before league starts, was my 16th pick, so made it in a rush)

I think I did fine

My killer is bye week 9 for Ryan, Lacy, Bush and Roddy White but I think I can twist my line ups around to make it work.

Surprised that with the #4 pick, Dez made it all the way back around for round 2.

Overall pretty good team I think, Ryan should bounce back nicely, this would be a damn good PPR team. I don't really like Bush this year, but he could still have a good season.

Here is my 2nd draft, it was out of the #1 position, (10 teams) which I hate, because it means you have to reach for players that normally would not go that high.

So, naturally once I started reaching I kept reaching, here is my "boom or bust" roster, lol.

QB - Tony Romo, Ryan Tannehill

WR - Michael Floyd, Coradarrelle Patterson, Jeremy Maclin, Eric Decker, Kendall Wright, Kelvin Benjamin

RB - LeSean McCoy, Doug Martin, Ben Tate, Maurice Jones-Drew

TE - Julius Thomas

K - Cody Parkey (:))

DEF - St. Louis
