He doesn't really need rest. A few extra FGs in our last 2 preseason games will have no effect on him.

I don't think he ever had a real chance to stick. Probably just required the extra roster spot.

Vinny don't need rest. It's not like he works very hard. Boomstick is a lot more active than Vinny.

I feel bad for Cody Parkey. It's tough for kickers to get a job in the NFL.  Wishing him the best.

I feel like it's better for him to be available now. If someone does wind up needing a kicker any time in the next couple of weeks, he'll be free to sign.

Unless this is nothing more than a favor to Parkey, allowing him a chance to become a kicker on some other team that might actually want one, It would seem that this is an indication of the level of concern that the front office has with the offensive line.  I do still fully expect offensive line shopping right after final cuts.

All my opinion but I think he has the raw potential to beat out a couple of our back ups (Matt Hall for 1)

The roster shows David Fluellen on it and says the same (http://www.colts.com/team/roster/David-Fluellen/ae24e51d-67a6-4dd4-8b9a-1517536c7728) -- don't know much about him, but I guess it can't hurt to have another body at RB for the next week or 2.
