Colts Roster Move

Hard to imagine he makes it out of preseason on the roster still, I think this move was made because a couple guys have gotten banged or knicked up and staff want to keep the guys that are locks to make the team healthy as possible

Not to disagree but why did the team cut Breckner

I guess he was hurt

Or they could tell right away he didn't have it, probably his mobility.

The Vikings didn't care for this guy, I don't expect much. Hopefully he doesn't get our 3rd string QB killed.

Not sure, Maybe he did not meet certain goals set forth for him by staff, I don't remember hearing he got hurt. Maybe it was to make room for another player (I don't remember how many players we had at the time that we cut Breckner)

Don't know what it is but no way is this kid a Tackle and most would likely think he is to big to be a Guard, Though I hesitate to subscribe to that theory. Mewhort, Walker, Reitz, Ulrick John and Nixon are all 6'5" or taller

Thats exactly what I thought!

Here's why: "Started at Arkansas, transferred to Ole Miss in 2010, then again to NAIA Belhaven in 2012. Left Ole Miss after a coaching change and after being arrested for DUI, simple assault, domestic violence, and other charges."

The @Colts have signed offensive tackle Matt Hall. He's 6-9, 326 pounds and was an undrafted free agent who the Vikings waived Friday.

The @Colts have signed FA T-Matt Hall (6-9, 326) from Belhaven University. Hall also attended Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Yeah Rainey got cut big blow to our return game.

Only have one spot open don't we? We signed a tackle for the Rainey spot..

Now we just released that WR so we have one spot.

We have NOT placed Ballard on the IR yet so that spot isn't open I don't think!

We released Jack Breckner for that tackle.

Take it you're not a believer in 2nd chances or change of scenery making positive impacts

I think 2nd chances and change of scenery can make positive impacts for players who actually have NFL talent but have been under performing.

Thing is though that if this kid actually had NFL level talent the Vikings would have held onto him for longer. . . at least until Mandatory cuts took place.

The fact that he was cut before Mandatory cuts tells me that he's just over-matched.

There are several reasons he was released by the Vikings then signed by the Colts
