We're Back! :cheer:

Finally, after what is arguably the longest offseason ever the Colts are back in action. Players arrived today, 1st practice of the 2014-2015 season will be underway tomorrow!

@KBowenColts: T.Y. Hilton says he's looking forward to getting back to punt returner and continuing to change the game http://t.co/plVUX5cBe4

@KBowenColts: For those asking when pads will be strapped on at training camp, CBA rules say Day 4 is the 1st day for pads. For the @Colts, that’s Sunday.

@KBowenColts: Andrew Luck present for his 3rd NFL Training Camp. Says he will have trouble sleeping tonight anxious for practice http://t.co/1gdsGUoV4v

@CraigKColts: Jack Mewhort in scrum says he looks forward to pads in camp. http://t.co/GLA42UOE66

@KBowenColts: Bjoern Werner: "I just need to step up and be a better football player than last year." http://t.co/oBXAJ7Oqah

@HolderStephen: Colts training camp getting underway here in Anderson. Running back Vick Ballard just reported and says he passed his physical.

@CraigKColts: Reporting day for @Colts camp is starting with rain, thunder, lightning, and those aren't player nicknames. Camp's first curveball.

They had storms roll through this morning. Going to cool down and be nice for the next few days

Just wondering since it is not good down here in the pocket and heard Indy area is under Flood Warnings

TY Hilton looking forward to going back to punt returner. . .

Umm sorry but WHY in the world would we use one of our top 3 receivers as a punt returner?

Isn't returning punts somewhat dangerous duty injury wise?

I'd rather have Griff back there, sure he doesn't have the speed to take one to the house but losing TY Hilton to injury really hurts our offensive game plan, losing Griff Whalen doesn't.

Maybe Tony Washington has really shown some stuff?  Moore...I am a Griff fan, but he still has to perform to make the team.  He has had little injuries that have hurt him in previous camps.

I do not like TY returning punts either.

It would be great to not need TY back there but the other guys must prove their worth

We need to make a point to find a punt returner who isn't a major part of our offensive or defensive squads.

Quite frankly as long as the guy can catch the ball and doesn't play into our offensive or defensive game plans that's all I need.  I don't care if he's slow and has no ability to break tackles.

TY just shouldn't be back there anymore period.

Agreed but someone must earn a roster spot

Here We Go

How is the weather in Anderson

It rained quite a bit earlier this morning... in fact I awoke to rumbles of thunder around 10 am. So needless to say it has cooled off tremendously, and it is now in the low 70's here in Indy. Perfect football weather.

Understand the thinking but don't necessarily agree.  There are plenty of players who have major roles on their teams offense or defense who return kicks - Harvin in Seattle, Peterson in AZ, and Patterson in Minny to name a few.  If Hilton is the best one for the job and it saves a roster spot for another position, it seems a reasonable ask.

So excited! I'll be there tomorrow and next Monday!! Going to try and make the BBQ bash night Practice as well!

I'm most interested in watching how the O-Line Molds together and the new comers on our team.

You awaking at 10am Eastern wouldn't be a shock though, would it?     :)

Well....   it wouldn't be a shock....

But it would be a shock to my system!    If you follow my meaning?!

I've spent most of my adult life working night, and overnight shifts....

I can wake up at 7a....   but it aint easy!

I'm mostly an evening, or night person so to be awake then is shocking.

Hopefully these relatively cool summer temperatures stick around for the majority of camp. Great football weather.

It has been unusually cool so far this summer, and I hope it stays that way. The next three days look like we will hardly even make it into the 80's in Indy.
