1) Next year's first does not equate to this year's 2nd , 3rd and 6th. To get pick 49 , the normal compensation would be the following year's 1st rounder. Normally you just subtract a round when trading a future year for a present yer pick. So that pretty much blows all that other stuff you have away. Plus this is a very strong draft and that further makes what you have even more unlikely.

2) SF already has 11 picks in this draft , including 3 in the 3rd round. They are picks 77, 94 and 100. Why in the world would they want to trade next year's 2 for another 3rd ( pick 80) this year ?

Brandon Thomas is not dropping to 232 The Jets and Rams have 12 picks each, the Cowboys, Texans, Jaguars and 49ers each have 11, and the Falcons and Browns each have 10. Someone will take a flier on him way before that. Where did the 49ers take Lattimore in the 4th round Thomas won't be there in the 7th round. In fact it would not surprise me if it were those same 49ers who stash Thomas at some point this year.

Good post.

I'm expecting both Thomas and Colvin, the Oklahoma CB to both be drafted in the 4th round.    Teams with extra picks will take players like this....   talented guys who only fell due to injury.    Their injuries aren't so bad that they won't be able to recover.   So, give them a year off to get healthy and then they'll be good to go in 2015.

All of our mocks showing the Colts taking these guys in the 6th or 7th round are just not going to happen..........

The mocks are getting more crazy as the draft gets closer someone has us taking Attaochu in the 3rd. Drafting a C craziness.

I think it is pretty obvious who the Colts want to win the starting C job based on who they brought in, I would expect another back up to push Holmes that can play C and G will be Grigs next move maybe after June 1st cuts.
