Hey AFC South QB's

Besides Andrew, who are these QBs that you speak of?

I think their worst nightmare is the draft, where they'll lose their jobs.

They already have.  Gabbert was traded to be a backup in San Fransisco.  Schaub was traded go start in Oakland.

Locker is expected to start next year but even he acknowledges that this is basically a make it or break it year for him.

That's my point. The QBs who are left on those teams fear the draft more than any defender right now.

I hate that the NFL banned that face mask from Robert :Gaah:

Put yourself in the shoes of an offensive tackle.  Take Robert Mathis' physical body.  Add speed and agility.  Add incredible toughness.  Add very good pass rush moves.  Add a great work ethic, intelligence about the game, and good leadership.  At this point, you've probably wet your pants.  Now if the NFL were to allow Robert to wear that intimidating mask, most offensive tackles would simply be in the fetal position for most of the game.  They did it for the sake of fairness

My point is that they've already lost their jobs no matter who their teams draft.  Schaub is in Oakland and Gabbert is in San Fransisco.

No reason to fear being fired when you've already been fired.

Got what you're saying. What I'm talking about, and what the OP is talking about are the AFC south QBs that are still with their teams. Obviously, guys that are traded are not AFC QBs anymore. They don't necessarily fear a guy who may or may not even get snaps with our D.

That's why I said " who are these QBs?" And that they fear the draft more than any D right now. Hope that clears my joke up a little.

Obviously fairness didn't work cause the man STILL lead the NFL in sacks

Now if they would've gave him the facemask, Strahan's record might've been broken :)

What I learned today:

The AFC South QBs worst nightmare are two players who may not even make the Colts final roster.

You do realize Adongo is gonna make the final roster right? Project player who actually got in the game due to the ridiculous injuries we suffered

And we need OLB depth, can never have too many pass rushers. I look for us to carry 8-10 LB's this season & Adongo will be 1 of them

Adongo making the final roster is far from assured and either way he won't be playing many, if any, snaps on defense during the season.

He didn't play a defensive snap last year, solely special teams.

Guess you forgot what team you cheer for. Its the Colts, injuries will happen so I'm almost 100% sure that Adongo will play at least 5 defensive snaps if not more

If I would have looked closer it was based on a 43 which we don't run 8-10 sounds like a good number to me

Yeah, 4-5 on the outside, 4-5 on the inside, and maybe a couple of those guys can play inside and out depending on the situation. So figure on 8-9 LBs on opening day.

That's all I was saying. Running a 3-4, it's better to have depth in your front 7 more than your secondary imo

I don't think it comes at the expense of the secondary. I think it comes at the expense of the defensive line. You probably carry 5-6 DL, with 8-9 LBs. As opposed to a 4-3, where you carry 7-8 DL and six LBs. You still probably wind up with 8-9 guys in the secondary either way.

Yeah you gotta have the DB's have 4 starting type DB's Davis Toler Byrd Gordy then Landry Howell that is 6 throw in a back up at S a couple at CB  you are looking at about 9 maybe 10 DB's. This is where your gunners and jammers are at ie Sergio.

The bleacher report article does a good job of breaking it down.

Gordy's numbers coming out of Central Michigan were impressive 4.4 and 4.32 40 and 38.5 vertical jump,
