   Kevin Costner stars in a new movie - being released very soon - called "Draft Day".  The movie features NFL game footage along with NFL players and front office peeps.

 

   Do you think you'll see this NFL-themed movie when it arrives in theaters??

I like Kevin Costner a really good actor, but I like watching movies at home with my own snacks & no long walks to the restroom. I will see it just not on the big screen. SW1 is with Brent on this one. 

 

About the only time I ever go to the theater anymore is for a Peter Jackson Hobbit related picture, a Bruce Willis flick, or a Tom Clancy espionage book film adaptation.

I definitely plan on going to see this.  Usually I'll wait a month or so for it to hit the "discount theaters," but this may be different.  There is a Hollywood Palms theater that has a full bar and food menu around me, so I may make a night out of it.  Looking forward to it.

If you & your husband do see it, let me know what you think because I value your opinion & I wanna see how Kevin Costner can make a 2 hour draft movie interesting.  Kevin's a top tier actor, but how do you make a 3 day draft sequence compelling in a 2 hour time slot? If Mr. Coster pulls this feat off, he deserves another oscar. I'm just saying.

Not a fan of Costner. That guy plays every roll exactly same... and this movie will only be exclipsed by the horribleness of Waterworld.

I will likely see it when it comes out for rent.  I'd love to see it in theaters but my wife and I always go to the theater together and I don't think she would enjoy the movie at all.

I've said it before, they will need to follow it up with a Draft Day 2 where the entire cast of characters are fired and a whole new group comes in and does the draft before ultimately being fired in Draft Day 3.

It would be funny if the had a list of all the Browns starting QBs since they returned to the NFL, with lines through their names. Then Costner goes over to that board and says "We really need to draft a QB!"

It also doubles as a nice paper weight or throwing at a co-worker when they say something dumb about Andrew Luck & the Colts. It's like a boomer rang except the darn thing doesn't retrieve itself.
